Flotsam and Jetsam - Happy Thanksgiving Eve!

Jeff Charles at TownHall, President Trump Just Made a Bombshell Announcement About Biden's 'Invalid' Pardons. Sundance at CTH, President Trump and First Lady Melania Celebrate Thanksgiving and Pardon FOUR Turkeys "President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump celebrated the pardoning of the Thanksgiving Day turkeys at the White House. After it was determined that Joe Biden used the autopen last year to pardon the turkeys, this year President Trump ended up using the power of his office to pardon both sets. lol" Nick Sortor @nicksortor, "TRUMP IS ON A ROLL “The turkeys go by the names of Gobble & Waddle.” “When I first saw the pictures I thought we should call them … CHUCK AND NANCY.” “But then I realized I would be pardoning them. And I would NEVER pardon those two people.” At Breitbart, Holiday Joy: Thanksgiving Meal Costs Decline To Lowest In Four Years and Gas Prices Creeping Near Lowest Level in Four Years Ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday. At ET, Economists Forecast Stronger US Growth, Lingering Inflation in 2026. "A panel of 42 professional forecasters say stronger consumer spending and investment will lift 2026 output." I don't trust "expert" economists. In Hat Hair videos Trish Regan explains How the SPEED Act and Affordability Agenda Can Drive America’s Economic Comeback and Hugh Hewitt drones on about How the Veterans Access Act Could Transform Care for America’s Heroes.

Matt Margolis at PJM says Reports of DOGE’s Death Are Greatly Exaggerated. Hat Hair's Beege Welborn adds Reuters Steps in DOGE Poopie. From Ace, Leftwing Propaganda Media Declares DOGE Dead. "Reuters is claiming that DOGE is dead. They claimed disco was dead, too. But it still lives on in garrett's heart. Matt Margolis reports on Reuters cutting and splicing an official's comments to make it sound like he's urging J6 protesters to burn down the Capitol. Wait, that's what they did to Trump on J6. I mean, they edited his comments to make it sound like he's saying DOGE is dead, when that isn't what he said at all." At News Wax, Bessent: Trump May Name New Fed Chair by Christmas. His term at Chair ends in May, but he will still be on the board until 2028, unless he resigns or Trump finds a way to get rid of him. Beege Welborn shocked, shocked to learn Taxpayer Supported Bantu Farming in Exotic *checks notes* Maine.

Sundance says Proceed Carefully: U.S. Media Reporting Zelenskyy Has Agreed to President Trump Terms for End to Ukraine-Russia Conflict. Well, if the media reports it, it's probably wrong. Capt. Ed at Hat Hair hears Putin to Trump on 'Vastly' Improved Ukraine Peace Plan: Nyet.

From Da Signal, Johnson Defends Trump Against Epstein Accusations. Mike Cantrell at PJM hears Scott Jennings Has a Few Choice Words for 'Never-Trump' Republicans. The Peacock shrieks, The 'ShamWow guy' is running for Congress in Texas "Offer Vince Shlomi, the once-prominent infomercial pitchman, filed paperwork with the Texas Republican Party to run for the seat held by Republican Rep. John Carter." He talks fast. That's a plus in politics. Ace, GOP Worries About Midterms "Wipeout". "I think we're all a little worried."

At Hat Hair Dave Strom worries Just How Bad Will Mamdani Be? Pretty bad, but the good news it that it's New York City. At OTP, Mamdani Adviser Linked To Reparations Movement Criticizes Systemic Racial Inequality.

TownHall's Amy Curtis says it Turns Out Leftist Democrat Aftyn Behn Holds Radical Anti-Family, Anti-Women Views As Well. From Nicole Silvero at Da Caller, Democrat Congressional Candidate Aftyn Behn Screams Hysterically As She Gets Booted From Legislature Session. VodkaPundit at PJM, Crazy Tennessee Dem Has Meltdown, Runs for Congress, Won't Win, Will Blame Patriarchy. Bonchie @bonchieredstate, "The oppo avalanche in this race is incredible. This woman is apparently the craziest person to ever live, and everyday there’s something new." Quote Nicole Silverio @NicoleMSilverio, "MORE INSANTIY Resurfaced video from 2019 shows Democrat Tennessee candidate Aftyn Behn SCREAMING and SOBBING as officers had to forcibly drag her out of Gov. Lee's office."

John Hinderacker at TownHall hears Ruben Gallego Says What You Think: Jack Posobiec @JackPosobiec, "BREAKING: Human Events has received leaked text messages from Senator Reuben Gallego (D-AZ) "Dem women look like Dem men, Dem men look like women""

From Ace, Under Questioning By, Surprisingly, the Leftwing Media, Democrats Admit They Can't Name Any Illegal Orders Trump Has Issued, "Seditious Senator Mark Kelly, who's currently under investigation for a possible court martial for urging US troops to defy their Commander in Chief, ran to Rachel Maddow to whip up the hard left to support him. Even there, though, he was forced to admit that Trump never issued an illegal order." From the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 11.25.25 at Twitchy, ALARMING Posts From Army JAG Officer Show Just How DANGEROUS the Seditious Six's Video Really Is Shoe @samosaur, "The seditious 6 would be proud as they see their efforts produce these kinds of results within the ranks. Army JAG officer MAJ Baker has been very vocal about her dissension on social media for months, and now she’s publicly stating she will not comply with lawful orders she disagrees with. HQDA 175-25 is in reference to those with gender dysphoria and their disqualification from military service in the army." Also, Scott Jennings Can’t Believe His Ears As Democrat Blurts ‘Sedition Six’ Video Was Made to Attack Trump. Nick Arama at RedState, says Tell Me More: Gallego Reveals Eye-Opening Info About That 'Illegal Orders' Video. DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican, "Excellent find. I think we are getting very, very warm as to whose NGO's idea it was to have the Senators produce a video about refusing illegal orders. National Lawyers Guild issued a document about refusing illegal orders on 11 November. And now they have partnered with Win Without War to advertise seditious-adjacent behavior on billboards. And Win Without War has multiple Congressional liaisons on their "About" page. National Lawyers Guild is an infamous supporter of antifa per @MrAndyNgo , which of course is now a foreign terrorist organization." Matt Vespa, Former Rolling Stone Editor Says the Dems' Illegal Orders Stunt Reminds Him of Another Hoax, Russiagate. Mary Chastain at LI has a Report: FBI Wants to Interview Democrats Who Told Military to Refuse Illegal Orders, "The Defense Department already announced an investigation into Sen. Kelly for alleged “serious allegations of misconduct.”" Sundance, FBI Scheduling Interviews with Seditious Six Congressional Reps. "The FBI only investigates threats to the DC system. The statements by the ‘seditious six’ could be viewed as threats to the continuity of government; ergo, it’s possible the FBI will take the threat seriously." Shawn Farash@Shawn_Farash, "So far this week the Left has pushed: - A Seditious message to our military - Fake story about the Chief of Staff getting fired - Fake story about the Attorney General getting fired - Fake story about the FBI Director getting fired. The question is why, and why now?" Professor Ornery Dragon detects The Odor of Mendacity.

Most of the 6 are civilians, but one, Mark Kelly is a former officer and still bound by military law. Rusty Weiss at RedState, War Secretary Pete Hegseth Torches ‘Seditious Six’ Democrats, Mocks Mark Kelly’s Uniform Post Pete Hegseth @PeteHegseth, "So “Captain” Kelly, not only did your sedition video intentionally undercut good order & discipline…but you can’t even display your uniform correctly. Your medals are out of order & rows reversed. When/if you are recalled to active duty, it’ll start with a uniform inspection." Quote Senator Mark Kelly @SenMarkKelly, "When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school,  four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents. . . " Of course, you're not supposed to be wearing a uniform in a partisan ad. Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius, "It is not unprecedented for serving U.S. senators who served honorably in the U.S. military and were service academy graduates to commit treason and betray the Constitution. Jefferson Davis, the first and only present of the Confederate States of America, was a serving U.S. senator from Mississippi when he treasonously betrayed the Constitution. He was a graduate of West Point and served with honor in the U.S. Army as a decorated veteran of the Mexican-American War. Of course, he was a Democrat. So I guess what I am saying is: recent events are not unprecedented." Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius, "The problem of officers like Mark Kelly is largely created by the various military service and Joint war colleges. Leftist civilian faculty infest these schoolhouses and O-6 students spend a year being indoctrinated into leftist ideologies while those same civilian professors see their war college gig as a stepping stone into the Ivies. There is actually a really simple fix to this. And I mean REALLY simple. Stop getting civilian accreditation as degree-producing programs. Stop meeting the standards of organizations like the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. . ." Shawn Fleetwood at Da Fed points out Undermining America’s National Security Is Nothing New For Mark Kelly. From Wombat's In The Mailbox: 11.25.25 Twitchy, Eugene Vindman Thumping His Chest About Returning To Active Duty To Defend Mark Kelly Goes Badly Wrong.

Hat Hair's John Sexton, MSNOW claims Trump is Thinking About Removing Kash Patel as FBI Director (Trump: Say What?). Sundance hosts Catherine Herridge Interviews FBI Director Kash Patel and Catherine Herridge Reviews FBI Activity with Retired FBI Agent Andy Lim. News Wax, Bondi to Appeal Dismissal of Comey, James Cases. I would hope so. Misty Severi at JTN reports House Judiciary Chair Jordan asks Bondi for records on Biden DOJ's ties to liberal nonprofit SPLC. "The federal government, including the FBI, previously used the SPLC as a source for defining and tracking extremist groups." Reuters is pissed the US Justice Department plans gun rights office within civil rights unit, how dare they defend that civil right!

The Divine Ms Devine at NYPo thinks It’s high time liberal judges are held accountable for failing to lock up violent career criminals. Byron York at WaEx, The road to the Chicago train fire attack. Christina Pushaw @ChristinaPushaw, "Libs in 2020: “put everyone on indefinite house arrest, if it only saves one life lockdowns are necessary” Libs in 2025: “we can’t lock up career violent felons, even if a few girls get burned or stabbed on the train every week, it’s a small price to pay for social justice”."

From the Chronic, The Imperial Judiciary Strikes Back.

Charles C. W. Cooke @charlescwcooke, "This story is about a man whose green card was revoked because he'd been convicted—not accused, but *convicted*—of murder, armed robbery, and forcible theft with a deadly weapon." Quote The New Yorker @NewYorker, "Orville Etoria, a Jamaican national who’d lived in New York for nearly 50 years, was shackled and put on an ICE flight to Eswatini. “It helped me imagine how the slaves might have felt, going to another land in shackles and chains,” he said. https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/dLJ4SQ" Sunny @sunnyright, "They’re now doing “you can’t deport convicted murderers because that’s like slavery.” Chris Arnade @Chris_arnade, ""Who lived in New York for nearly 50 years" Yeah, I mean, 27 of those years where spent in Sing Sing for a 25 to life murder conviction." From the OCR, $90 million tax fraud relied in part on undocumented immigrant hiring, prosecutors allege. Amy Curtis at TownHall, Here's Why a Hennepin County Judge Overturned a $7.2M Medicaid Fraud Conviction. "According to Tamburino, Judge West said the state's cased relied "heavily on circumstantial evidence" and that the state did not "exclude other reasonable, rational inferences." "That, in fact, there could've been other reasonable theories other than guilt in this case. That's what it comes down to," Tamburino said. Fox reports Masked thieves in South American crime ring loot American homes in coordinated pattern, police warn, "Suspects enter through wooded backyards, stealing jewelry, designer bags and cash from affluent neighborhoods." Dave Strom comments Hey, Just a Thought on Deportations.... Amy Curtis, Remember All the Illegals Sleeping in Airports? The Biden Administration Was Behind It All. RAW EGG NATIONALIST @Babygravy9, "When people tell you the measles outbreaks in the US are because of RFK Jr. and his "antivax" views, politely remind them that there have been 5,138 cases of measles in Canada this year and the cause is migration."

Dave Strom asks How Much of What You Read Is Fake? Power Lines John Hinderacker on how Elon Exposed the Fake Activists.

Ron DeSantis @RonDeSantis, "The radical partisanship of these teacher unions has been a major contributor to education decline in the US. They see the K-12 school system as as a political means for adults to further their agenda. This is why the unions fought so hard to close schools during COVID; it was never about the kids." Quote Nicki Neily@nickineily, "ICYMI: @DefendingEd obtained internal NEA documents showing the union’s upcoming training doesn’t focus on academics, but on attacking Republicans as “racist and transphobic,” pushing race-class-gender narratives, and promoting gender-transition guides for staff." Insty has a K-12 IMPLOSION UPDATE: Homeschooling Hits Record Numbers.. It’s not for everyone, but at this point sending your kids to public school looks like parental malpractice. Flotsam and Jetsam - More Thanksgiving Leftovers

I'm not tired of them, we haven't even had turkey sandwiches for lunch yet. Check out the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 11.29.24 (Belated Thanksgiving Turkey Coma Edition) and In The Mailbox: 11.29.24 (Black Friday Evening Edition) for lots of Thanksgiving links.

At Althouse, "On behalf of all the women (and I know it’s many) you have abused in some way, I say … get some help and take an honest look at yourself...." ""I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around and uses women for his own power and ego. You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth." Wrote Penelope Hegseth, quoted in "Pete Hegseth’s Mother Accused Her Son of Mistreating Women for Years/Penelope Hegseth made the accusation in an email to her son in 2018, amid his contentious divorce. She said on Friday that she regretted the email and had apologized to him" (NYT)(free-access link). . . . In the interview, she defended her son and disavowed the sentiments she had expressed in the initial email about his character and treatment of women. “It is not true. It has never been true,” she said. She added: “I know my son. He is a good father, husband.” She said that publishing the contents of the first email was “disgusting.”" Well, it is the NYT after all. It makes you wonder how they got ahold of the his mother's email though. We got over women problems with Clinton. At NYPo, Karol Markowicz says Don’t let the left do to Pete Hegseth what it did to Brett Kavanaugh.

At ET, 5 Things to Know About Jay Bhattacharya, Trump’s Choice for NIH Director "The physician holds multiple doctoral degrees, won a prominent award for intellectual freedom, and has been a vocal critic of COVID-19 lockdowns." Two legit doctorates, medicine and economics? One was enough for me. This may be the best pick of all, or, he could turn out to be a lousy administrator.

At JTN, Steve Richards sees Musk float slashing IRS budget, regulatory agency in X posts, "Elon Musk often seeks public feedback on his policy ideas as he prepares to helm a cost and regulation-cutting commission for Trump, and Trump administration’s DOGE push to make government efficient now reaching state level, "A group in Wisconsin says it had a plan back in 2023 similar to Trump's and that "it was DOGE before DOGE was cool." From Fox Business, Musk, Ramaswamy to discuss DOGE plans with GOP lawmakers, "House Speaker Mike Johnson announces DOGE co-leads Musk and Ramaswamy will meet with Republicans on Capitol Hill next week."

Nick Arama at RedState thinks JD Vance Breaks Joy Reid As She Has One More Thanksgiving Freakout. Meh; on air freakouts are her job. Capt. Ed at Hat Hair adds "It's time to end the political insurrections known as "sanctuary cities." Local and state law enforcement and governments are required to cooperate with federal law enforcement in areas where the federal government has clear constitutional jurisdiction, and immigration is among the clearest of them. Charge a couple of mayors with obstruction of justice in federal court, and the rest will think better of the idea."

At Fox, Fetterman berates Democrats for freaking out over Trump victory: 'Just grab a grip.' Liz Stauffer at LI hears a Tech Billionaire Tells Joe Rogan the Govt. Plan ‘to Control AI’ is Why He Left WH Meeting, Endorsed Trump  “They [Biden officials] said don’t even start startups – there’s just no way that they can succeed – there’s no way that we’re going to permit that to happen.” "“When you leave a meeting like that, what do you do?” Rogan asked. Andreessen smiled and said, “You go endorse Donald Trump!”" From WaEx, Native Americans shifted toward Republicans due to economic concerns. Capt. Ed wonders is it Realignment -- Or Abandonment?. Althouse post "Maps Pinpoint Where Democrats Lost Ground Since 2020 in 11 Big Cities... where Kamala Harris got fewer votes compared with Joseph R. Biden Jr. and which voting blocs drove each city’s red shift." "Here's a free-access link to a detailed analysis at the NYT." And, "I do not speak to the Post (or the Times for that matter), so this is not for publication, but my reaction is that this is 4 years too late." "Said Columbia University professor emeritus Rashid Khalidi, author of “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine: A History of Settler Colonial Conquest and Resistance, 1917-2017.” Quoted by the NY Post in "Biden picks up anti-Israel book during Black Friday shopping— ‘4 years too late,’ says author."" At NRO Jack Butler responds to Jim Geraghty, Kamala Harris at Planned Parenthood?. From the Babylon Bee, 'Don't Let Anyone Take Your Power,' Tipsy Aunt Tells Kiddie Table at Thanksgiving. From Froma Harrop at RCP, AOC Has Got to Go. Capt. Ed adds Harrop is no conservative, so this is doubly interesting. She's also not a full-blown progressive, but a center-left/libertarian-ish writer who's occasionally gone off the deep end herself. This may be a microcosm of the internecine fight Democrats will have over the next four years. Pop Times, Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s Legacy: $7.5 Billion for Eight EV Charging Stations?, but a lot of interest groups got money along the way.

Ace, Venezuelan Gangs Operating in Tennessee’s Mid-Size Cities: ”It’s Not Happening” ”It’s actually a good thing.” We all know the propaganda sequence that occurs when conservatives shed light on the woke pathologies of the left which are imposed on society. 1) It’s not happening. 2) It may be happening a little, but it’s not a big deal. 3) It’s actually a good thing that it’s happening. 4) Only a bigot would oppose it from happening."

Flotsam and Jetsam - Some Thanksgiving Leftovers

Althouse is amused by Donald Trump, "Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the Radical Left Lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our Country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail..." ""... because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad that the great people of our Nation just gave a landslide victory to those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! Don’t worry, our Country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!" Tweets Donald Trump." Stacy McCain, Happy Thanksgiving to All! "Well, how about Kamala as your alcoholic aunt rambling incoherently at Thanksgiving? We can afford to laugh at that, as we give thanks that our nation has been spared from the Kamala Harris presidency." We had a nice quiet, family Thanksgiving, including Turkey and the usual sides, and pumpkin pie.

Stacy McCain, warns Democrats: Please Do Not Listen to Advice From This Attractive Young Woman

All that is preamble to my praise of @Shoe0nHead. Back in the day — 10 years ago or thereabouts — I remember being a fan of hers on Twitter and sort of assumed she was a conservative, but in fact, she’s a kind of female Bernie Bro, a left-wing populist who hated Hillary Clinton for basically the same reason I hate John Cornyn, i.e., for being an unprincipled sellout. She no doubt strongly disagrees with me on most policy issues, but shares my contempt for “mainstream” politics and “establishment” politicians, and is hated by a lot of her fellow leftists simply because she tells the truth about such things. She did a post-election analysis of why Democrats lost that is so on-target that you simply must watch it:

From Twitchy, GRAB YOUR POPCORN! Fox News Reports There's Chaos in the Democratic Party. Paul Bedard at WaEx has a Harvard shocker: Voters ‘abandoning’ the Democratic Party. John Sexton hears Some Democratic Billionaires Vow to Fight On, Others Are Giving Up. Virginia Kruta at Da Wire, hears some Democrat Strategist Is Not Sold On Kamala 2028: ‘Please Don’t’. Flotsam and Jetsam - Thanksgiving Day - Trump Nominees Swatted, Bomb Threats

So what do you do with the giblets?

Anyway, according to Bill Robinson, (not, Will Robinson) at NewsMax, Trump Returns, Ushers New Golden Age. That may be a bit of hyperbole. But I am heartened by the appointment of Jay Bhattacharya to NIH chief. Stephen Kruiser at PJM, Trump Continues to Assemble Avengers to Battle the Swamp Ick. Leslie Eastman at LI, Trump Taps Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Who Bravely Challenged Covid Lockdown Policies, to Lead NIH. Dave Strom at Hat Hair, And the Crowd Goes WILD! Kevin Bass PhD MS @kevinnbass "Jay Bhattacharya is one of the greatest men I have known. He will serve all Americans with utmost humility, intelligence, judgment, and integrity. His nomination is as historic as Trump’s election. America will be blessed to have him at the helm at this critical time." He might just be overqualified. Elon Musk@elonmusk, "A truth-teller will be running NIH." John Tierny at Insty, calls it A BIG WIN FOR SCIENCE: "From “Fringe” to Mainstream. Trump’s nomination of Jay Bhattacharya to head NIH is a major victory for science and academic freedom — —and a serious threat to the universities that suppressed scientific debate and promoted disastrous policies during the pandemic, as I explain in City Journal. Elite universities annually receive more than $500 million apiece from the NIH, the world’s largest funder of biomedical research, which is one reason that so many academics were afraid to challenge Anthony’s Fauci’s version of “The Science” — they needed his agency’s money." At Behind the Black, Trump’s picks to run all the federal health agencies guarantees major change is coming.

When Trump supporters who followed him saw the Kamala video, they didn't cancel him over his beliefs and still pledged to continue supporting his community work. But, when Kamala supporters watched his Trump video, they went bonkers and became hostile towards him. The video went viral & Trump supporters all over the country bought gifts to send to his school. When your people ask what the difference is between the two sides, THIS IS IT."

From ZeroHedge, Marc Andreessen Describes "Alarming" Meeting With Biden Admin That Prompted His Trump Endorsement "We had meetings [Biden officials] this spring that were the most alarming meetings I've ever been in. Where they were taking us through their plans, and it was - basically just full government - full government control - like this sort of thing, there will be a small number of large companies that will be completely regulated and controlled by the government, they told us. They said don't even start startups - there's just no way that they can succeed - there's no way that we're going to permit that to happen."  Dave Strom, Must Listen: Marc Andreessen on Joe Rogan. From the Center Square, Biden's plan to cover anti-obesity drugs could cost $140 billion.

Ace, Catherine Herridge: I Had a Locked-Down Story About Hunter Biden's Laptop Ready to Go Before the 2022 Election. But CBS "News" Killed the Story. "Of course. Of course. And what a story it was -- all about Hunter's grifting operations, of which Joe Biden was a part, and his.... frequent use of the world "n*gg*r," which of course is a death penalty for anyone else but not for this highly-protected princeling. That was never reported -- CBS "News" said that such a story was of no interest."

Michael Chamberlain at Real Clear Wire (RCW) notes ‘Conservative’ Outfits are ‘Scouring’ Because Journalists Won’t The other day I acquired a new title: “Scourer.” My organization, Protect the Public’s Trust, was among the groups mentioned in a Politico article the outlet’s X account promoted as “Conservative outfits are scouring feds’ emails.” I know “scouring” isn’t meant as a compliment, but I’m happy to take it that way. As stated in the article, PPT has made more than 1,600 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests of the Biden-Harris administration. We’ve done so because the journalists and watchdog groups so enthusiastic about policing the Trump administration seem to have decided sometime around January 20, 2021, that their vigilance was no longer needed." Althouse,

In the objection, Elon Musk’s lawyers argued that X has 'superior ownership' of all accounts on X..." ""... that it objects to the inclusion of InfoWars and related Twitter accounts in the bankruptcy auction, and that the court should therefore prevent the transfer of them to The Onion." From "X's Objection to the Onion Buying InfoWars Is a Reminder You Do Not Own Your Social Media Accounts " . . . "So who's more against freedom of speech here? It seems to me that X is protecting it." From WokeSpy, Leftist Reporter Accuses Elon Musk of “Ruining Journalism” By Bringing Free Speech to X.

Ace, The Left Is Demanding That People Disconnect From Their Suppressive Person (SP) Family Members Again, So You Know This Must Be the Holiday Season. "It's a standard cult move to demand that people separate from their families. Or from anyone else who might question cult doctrine. The headline refers specifically to Scientology's terminology for disowning family members and "Suppressive Persons," meaning people who try to impede you from growing in the "church.""

RVM, Infamous Transgender Swimmer Spreads Misinformation About Iowa’s ‘Trans-Ban’ "Infamous transgender college swimmer Lia Thomas recently criticized Iowa’s law banning transgender athletes from participating in women’s sports, claiming it sends a message that trans kids “don’t deserve to participate.” . . . “With the ban here in Iowa … the state is actively saying to trans kids, ‘You don’t deserve to participate. You are actually being excluded,’” Thomas stated. However, the law does not prevent transgender children from participating in sports altogether. It specifically prohibits males who identify as females from competing in girls’ sports. Transgender athletes still have the right to participate in sports that correspond to their biological sex, and the law does not deny them access to these activities." But, then, they probably won't win!
