Susan Sarandon Dishes a Stinging Fact When Debra Messing Tries to Pin Hillary Clinton's Loss on Her

When the results of last Tuesday's presidential election finally began to sink in, a number of Hillary Clinton's most ardent supporters were looking for someone to hold responsible.

Many laid the blame on “white people,” “racists,” and “the media,” and a number blamed third party voters general.

But actress Debra Messing (“Will and Grace”) got personal, calling out fellow actress Susan Sarandon for throwing her weight behind the Green Party's Jill Stein when Bernie Sanders bowed out this summer:

Dakota Access says construction equipment burned costs millions

Oct 17 Dakota Access LLC, operator of the controversial pipeline carrying oil from North Dakota to the U.S. Gulf Coast, said on Monday that construction equipment burned by unknown individuals over the weekend cost millions of dollars.

Authorities suspect arson in the fire, which took place in Reasnor, Iowa, along the construction of the pipeline route, according to an AP report.

The pipeline has become the next battle after the Keystone Pipeline in the war against American developing it's own oil resources, a movement that Hillary Clinton acknowledges is  encouraged, and partially paid for by Putin's Russian government.

Another issue is the matter of the occupation of Federal lands by the protestors:

Thus far there have been no arrests. One might assume that the authorities are already checking out the camps of the protesters, but which group? As we discussed previously, there are two different sets of protesters. One is composed of the representatives of the tribes and they have largely been peaceful and lawful. The other are imports from the radical environmental movement, including those who oppose all fossil fuels. We’ll have to wait for a full investigation, but which of those groups do you suppose decided to torch the site?

Thus far, federal authorities have declined to clear out the camps of the latter group even though they are on federal land. This is a decision which seems to be coming from Washington rather than the Nebraska field office. With the demonstrations going from chanting to physical attacks and now multi-million dollar incidents of arson, will that decision change?

Do you remember what happened the last time protesters occupied a temporarily vacant federal site in Oregon, protesting the treatment of ranchers at the hands of the federal government? The FBI and local law enforcement initiated a traffic stop on a car full of protesters leaving the site, in which one of the protest leaders was killed "while resisting arrest". I think we can safely rule out that kind of zealous enforcement in this case.

One might also note that single digit Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein has been involved in the Dakota Access pipeline protests, and was caught on video vandalizing construction equipment, and an arrest warrant was issued on her for the crime. If any further action on this criminal act has taken place, Google has not yet caught wind of it.

The Crook, the Clown, the Stoner or the Vandal?

I've been looking for a sobriquet for Jill Stein, to use in the phrase "Who are you gonna choose, the crook, the clown, the stoner or  . . . ?" for a while. Tree hugger was vaguely appropriate, but not really, because, although she's from the "Green" Party, her agenda seems to be more SJW type foofarah than straight environmentalism. To fill that gap, she's kindly stepped up to the plate with breaking some simple property laws that most of us choose to abide by most of the time:

Still thinking about casting a vote for Green Party candidate Jill Stein? If so, perhaps one of the things you like about her is her well known opposition to fossil fuels, pipelines and, well… pretty much anything that keeps the lights on which doesn’t involved a windmill. She’s certainly dedicated to the cause, as she demonstrated (literally and figuratively) in North Dakota this week. But rather than simply voicing her displeasure with a local pipeline project, she decided to take it one step further and commit some vandalism. (Inforum)

More than 100 protesters gathered at a Dakota Access Pipeline construction site Tuesday where two people bound themselves to bulldozers and Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was meeting with pipeline opponents.
A woman and a man attached themselves to equipment east of State Highway 6 using the same type of casting material used by demonstrators last week. The gathering began about 10 a.m. Tuesday northwest of the main pipeline protest site. About 75 people remained by 12:30 p.m.

That report doesn’t really get into the vandalism aspect of the story, but there’s evidence available which leaves the question in little doubt. The video of Stein engaging in the spray painting is embedded in this tweet from a local news station.

I suppose the video was too much for area law enforcement to ignore because local media is now reporting that Stein will face charges. . . (Bismarck Tribune)

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein, who is accused of spray-painting equipment Tuesday at a Dakota Access Pipeline work site, will face charges for her action, Morton County Sheriff Kyle Kirchmeier said in a press conference…

However, as noted by HotAir:

In closing, I would simply note for any liberals who may have wandered across this column by accident that Stein’s crimes are still orders of magnitude less serious than Hillary Clinton’s. So if you were going to vote for Hillary, switching over to Jill remains a great idea. Go for it.
