Flotsam and Jetsam - Is the The Alaskan Double Tap Going to Court?

After the NYT published a story backing up our long held belief that Democrats in wannabe senator Pelitola's campaign actively sought out a like named doppelganger for Sen. Dan S. Sullivan (Dan J. Sullivan) to split votes in Alaska's bizarre "ranked choice" voting system, the story has finally received some attention, and even legal proceedings. Funny how that works. Cathy Salgado at PJM has a Report: Democrat Campaign Recruited ‘Decoy Dan’ Sullivan to Run in Alaska. Hat Hair's Mitch Berge sees it as part of a larger Democrats Strategy: Counterfeit Republicans. TownHall's Matt Vespa sees The Dems' Election-Rigging Nonsense In Alaska Might Have Triggered Subpoena Wave and wonders What the Hell Is Lisa Murkowski Doing? Bill Melugin @BillMelugin_, "BREAKING: Colleague @davidspunt reports via two sources familiar that there is an ongoing DOJ "aggressive criminal investigation" into Daniel J. Sullivan appearing on the ballot for US Senate in Alaska, and the investigation has intensified in the wake of the bombshell NYT report today. DOJ sources tell David that multiple grand jury subpoenas will be issued in the coming hours and days, and there are preservation orders to cell phone companies that are being prepared regarding text messages and emails that may build a timeline for how Daniel J. Sullivan was placed on the ballot. The investigation is being handled by the U.S. Attorney's Office in Alaska and federal prosecutors are interested in potential charges relating to the depravation of rights of Alaska voters. The investigation is expected to go beyond Election Day and has been underway for several months." S undance at CTH sees Alaska Governor Requests Criminal Investigation of Democrat Ballot Fraud Scheme. Jonathan Turley @JonathanTurley, "Alaskan Gov. Mike Dunleavy just told Fox that the decoy Dan J. Sullivan was asked to speak earlier to their investigators and he refused to do so. Now, no one seems to be able to find him as the Democrats ride out the scandal in the final five days..." PJM's Matt Margolis likes how Gutfeld Destroys Jessica Tarlov for Defending the Democrats’ Fake Dan Sullivan Scheme. "I get it. But see, what you just do, what you've done is you've opened the door for everything," he said. "Now nothing, now there's no reason to even defend the most low down dirty thing when you defend that." PJM's Scott Pinsker says Democrats Just Made Election Fraud a National Midterm Issue. Will the GOP Blow it? Quite likely; it's the Repblican way. From Fox, Bari Weiss faced 'significant resistance' from CBS News staffers about Alaska ballot scandal, insiders say. Sunny @sunnyright, "CBS reporters upset that their chief wants them to investigate stories published in the NYT." Quote Joseph A. Wulfsohn @JosephWulfsohn, "EXCLUSIVE: CBS News chief Bari Weiss faced “significant resistance” from staff at the network’s 9am meeting this morning while discussing the growing Alaska ballot scandal as she urged reporters to dig into the story, according to sources at the meeting." Stephen L. Miller @redsteeze, "All she's attempting is moving one of the most notorious biased and corrupttrd news networks 6 inches back toward moderation and they can't stand it."

David Strom @DavidStrom, "2020: the most secure election in history. 2026, five days out: Democrats warn Elon Musk and AI could rig the vote, so paper ballots are suddenly a great idea. These are the same paper ballots they fought for years. This isn't election security. It's an excuse being built in advance." Shipwreckedcrew @shipwreckedcrew, "Unlikely that anything will be done in the next 6 days. Calif will process votes every day -- separating the ballot from the envelope so that the vote is counted and no able to be segregated in the days or weeks ahead, The bigger problem is that Carter just told state and local official that their actions are not illegal. Even if he's later determined to be wrong by a higher court, this creates an "estoppel" argument that could prevent any later prosecution of state or local officials -- "Judge Carter told us it was ok." I said this last week. My concern for a while is that DOJ, being understaffed, doesn't have enough EXPERIENCED TRIAL LAYWERS working for it who can "see around the corner" to understand how what they do today might impact what they might want to do in 3 months. This is an example." PJM's Stephen Kruiser, Clinton-Appointed Judge Lends a Hand to California Voter Fraud. DataRepublican (small r) @DataRepublican, "Parallel vote tabulation (PVT) is a common tool in color revolutions." Quote Natalie Winters @nataliegwinters, "An anti-MAGA group says its legal partners are exploring a PARALLEL VOTE COUNT outside government. Seed the Vote’s own words..." At Da Caller, Hackers Knocked Federal Election Commission Offline, Emails Show. At Da Caller, ICE Reveals Fresh Lineup Of Foreign Nationals Accused Of Voter Fraud. Jen Van Laar at RedState hears a Clinton Appointed Judge say Not Allowing Illegal Alien Votes Is Like Disenfranchising Black Americans.

Steve Richards and John Solomon at JTN report El-Sayed courted Muslim centers where clerics portrayed U.S as Satan, sought ‘revenge’ on Zionists, "Newly surfaced recordings show the Democratic candidate courting votes at tax-exempt Islamic centers, where clergy and Islamic scholars called America the "House of [Satan]," asked Allah to support the fight against Israel, and prayed for vengeance against Zionists and their backers." Dave Strom at Hat Hair hears Abdul El-Sayed: Democrats Abandoning Him, Including Haley Stevens' Fiancé. "But in the case of Abdul El-Sayed, the people crossing the party line are genuine about it, and really are lifelong Democrats who would never consider voting for a Republican unless they felt driven to under extraordinary circumstances. They see Abdul El-Sayed's election as just such a circumstance." Stephen L. Miller @redsteeze, "So just in case you're following along, the mostly public face of The Bulwark is endorsing a Muslim Britherhood adjacent proven Anti-Semite. Ok, sure but that's not even the best part of this. He's claiming that the opposing candidate will usher in internment camps, which would be a really uncomfortable fact, if his coworker and podcast partner had not floated someone with an actual Nazi internment camp guard symbol on his chest for President in 2028 prior to that candidate dropping out." Luke Greenburg at PJM reports a Bottoms Endorser Urged Muslims to Prepare for Possible ‘Active Resistance’.

Matt Lamb at LI, NY Times Exposes Talarico’s Fake Story About Overcrowded Classrooms. "James Talarico claims he battled to teach America’s youth in overcrowded classrooms. The New York Times says there may be more to the story. A few more hundred stories like that and the NYT might restore a shred of credibility. Steve @SteveLovesAmmo, "How to make a political candidate squirm 101: Ask James Talarico if he thinks Allah is non-binary as well."

Chris Pope at CJ observes Medicare for All Is Popular—Until People Find Out How It Would Work. "A Maryland policy experiment shows why the proposal would meet resistance in practice." Amy Curtis at TownHall claims Healthcare Costs Too Much. Voters Want Patients Back in Charge. Eddie Scarry at Da Fed notices ‘Affordability’ Is A Trojan Horse For Democrats To Bring Back The Biden Years. Anybody who really believes Democrats have any plan to improve "affordability" deserves to pay more. Unfortunately, it's the rest of us who'll pay the price.

Sensurround Q. Catgirl writes I Didn't Leave the Democratic Party Because I Wanted To. I Left Because I Was Paying Attention. "The Audacity of Falling For Absolute Bullshit." "I still have my Obama campaign victory packet, which I keep as a cherished reminder that I am capable of being an absolutely colossal fucking idiot." C3 @C_3C_3, "Want some truth? Dems are a 30% party of social outcasts. Commies, young freaks, race baiters, mentally ill men, feminist Karens, old hippies and grifters. Propped up by the Media, USAID, ActBlue, Illegals and election fraud. They’re one HONEST election away from withering and dying or destroying America. Simple."

Dave Strom characterizes Newsomnomics: Paying NGOs to Deliver Gourmet Food to Welfare Recipients. From NYPo, Minecraft billionaire is latest California resident to flee state — as he offloads $70M Beverly Hills mansion. It's nice to be able to afford to flee the system you probably helped create.

Gunther Eagleman™ @GuntherEagleman, " DAMAGE CONTROL: Barack Obama is now on the campaign trail swearing he LOVES the Cheesecake Factory. Days ago he mocked Trump's White House as looking like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory." Now it's "my jam for about a decade." He insulted millions of regular Americans who eat there, got caught, and is calling it a joke. Nobody is buying it, Barack."

Glenn Greenwald @ggreenwald, "The WashPost -- like the WSJ -- has an editorial today sounding the alarm on Brazil's authoritarianism. Its point -- like mine and everyone's -- isn't that Bolsonaro is innocent. It's that Judge Alexandre de Moraes is a tyrant who persecutes political enemies with no limits." Monica Showalter at Am Think thinks about the Election travesty in Brazil. "A crony judge extended voting hours after polls had closed in conservative areas." From Am Con, Lula’s Victory Is Surprising Because He Has So Little to Offer Brazil "The left-wing incumbent’s fresh policies were largely reversals of those he implemented previously." It wasn't a surprise, it was a steal. Driscoll at Insty quips VLADIMIR PUTIN CALLED AND TOLD LULA TO DIAL IT BACK A FEW NOTCHES:
Sassafrass84 @Sassafrass_84, "Did you know… 2014: the candidate who ran against Lula’s party died. 2018: the candidate who ran against Lula’s party was stabbed and nearly killed. 2022: the candidate who ran against Lula’s party is serving a 27-year sentence for a “coup” that never happened. 2026: Flávio Bolsonaro, the candidate who ran against Lula, is in exile. What are the odds? Just huge coincidences. And Lula wants us to believe he won the election fairly?" Jeff Childers at Flopping Aces thinks Trump Is Building a New American Order in the Western Hemisphere. The Media Is Too Busy Hating Him to See It.

Unfiltered Artist @EmpireEnjoyer3, "I think Trump is trying to conduct a last ditch effort to pry Russia away from China because he sees the war over Taiwan as inevitable. Not sure if he factored in the North Korean question though, as they’ll likely take the Taiwan opportunity to reunify Korea with China’s help, and North Korean troops are already engaged in combat against NATO backed forces in Ukraine." Quote Open Source Intel @Osint613, "According to RIA, Russia's Rosatom is in talks with the United States on possible cooperation over small nuclear power plants that would supply electricity to artificial intelligence data centers."

Open Source Intel @Osint613, "ICYMI: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had some extraordinary warnings for the Iranian people in an interview with Iran International the other day. “Don’t pay your taxes because you’re not going to get anything back from the government.” He also urged Iranians to prepare for serious fuel shortages this winter. “You should start stocking up on heating fuel. There’s going to be a big heating fuel shortage. In terms of gasoline, everyone should fill up their tanks now.”..." John Sexton reports Trump Briefed on Military Options for Iran. Hat Hair's Beege Welborn is not too upset that Hegseth Fires a Three-Star for Leaking to the Press UPDATE: Uh-Oh "A Pentagon official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive personnel matters, said Army Lt. Gen. Brett Sylvia was accused of misconduct for allegedly leaking classified information related to the Iran war and the Russia-Ukraine war. Sylvia failed three polygraph tests about sharing classified information with the press, the official said, adding that the case has been referred to the Department of Justice." InfantryDort @infantrydort, "Generals? What Generals? The bar for becoming a general officer is in the fucking basement. You can see a trend in my posts as of late. I've gone full bluntness on this topic since nothing else seems to work. We spent twenty years losing wars while rewarding the people who learned how to survive the system that was losing them. Strategic failure became “complexity.” No victory became “persistent engagement.” Nobody got fired, everyone got another star, and the bureaucracy learned the oldest trick in Washington: rename failure until it sounds like expertise...." Mark Hemingway @Heminator, "If I worked at The New York Times after the paper got a Pulitzer for Russia collusion reporting, I would be too ashamed talk about “decisively forfeit[ing] any presumption of honesty.”" Quote David French @DavidAFrench, "One of the many problems with this administration is that it lies with such regularity and frequency that you can't trust a syllable that comes from anyone. This statement on background might be true, or it might not be true. But the administration has decisively forfeited any presumption of honesty."

Sundance at CTH reports 3rd Quarter GDP Comes in Strong at 3.4% Growth – Even with Massive Increase in Imported Industrial Purchases, “The AI Factor”. Miranda Devine @mirandadevine, "US GDP growth figures out this morning show a robust 3.4%, exceeding all expectations. That is more than double the anemic 1.6% in poor beleaguered Australia, and well above Europe (2.4%) and the UK (2%). Beats me how anyone with any ambition for a better life could vote for leftists." Brivael Le Pogam @brivael, "This is true everywhere in the West. Palmer Luckey just launched BlueChip with Qualcomm, a laptop designed and assembled in the United States. The "analysts" told us an American computer would cost $100,000. Luckey says it'll cost about 20% more than a high-end PC. The gap between those two numbers is the size of the lie. In France, we know this song by heart. Taxis. In 2008, a government commission proposed opening up taxi licenses. Strikes, highways blocked, and the government backed down within days. A Paris taxi license would eventually resell for over €200,000. Scarcity created by the state turned into private wealth. It took Uber to break it, and in 2014 the government passed a law to try to lock it all back down...." Quote dnap @dnapway, "Palmer Luckey says analysts claiming it's too expensive to manufacture in the US are lying to protect megacorps "I think I have a more realistic view than almost anybody. One of the problems with all these analysts that are telling you that it's going to cost $37,000 to build an American iPhone or $100,000 to buy an American computer." "They're trying to prop up a status quo that the megacorporations want to keep going. They want to outsource everything. They want to hire cheaper non-American labor."..."

Julie Kelly @julie_kelly2, "NYT reports today that the Obama DOJ first started investigating Ilhan Omar (alias) marriage to her brother ten years ago. “Federal agents in Minnesota opened an investigation, according to several people familiar with the matter. They found evidence suggesting that Mr. Elmi and Ms. Omar were siblings, according to the six former and current officials familiar with the case. But, because prosecutors did not pursue the matter, the agents had limited investigative tools, the officials said.” After rumors of the sham marriage—it was well known in Minneapolis’ Somali community back then—threatened to derail her run for state representative, the Obama appointed U.S. Attorney for Minnesota stepped in to save her with this extraordinary letter to her attorney. She was elected to Congress in 2018. Andrew Luger was later rewarded with the same appointment from Joe Biden. He then worked closely with—guess who?—Lisa Monaco." Quote Northern Barbarian @xnoesbueno, "If NYT is reporting that, the memo’s out. Everyone, back off. Step away from the Somali." PJM's Cathy Salgado, cites the NYT: Obama Admin Had Evidence of Omar’s Bro-Husband. Capt. Ed at Hat Hair says Oh, Brother: NYT Drops Bombshell on Ilhan Omar-ish Marriage and Obama Admin. At the Free Bacon, After Shaming Conservatives for 'Seizing' on 'Rumors,' NYT Finally Concedes Ilhan Omar (Probably) Married Her Brother. "Times readers understandably shocked to learn that details surrounding Omar's marriage 'have long been murky.'" Vic Nava at NYPo reports llhan Omar’s alleged brother she wed in ‘sham marriage’ says he is a gay man in academic paper. Matt Vespa finds it hard to believe Ilhan Omar's Alleged Sham Marriage Just Got Weirder. Emily Kopp @emilyakopp, "NEW: Ilhan Omar's ex-husband & alleged brother identifies as a "gay man." In Somali custom, her ex-husband's name shows he's the son of NUR SAID. Per DOJ, Omar's name shows she's the daughter of NUR SAID. Omar's father went by NUR SAID online." Sundance is dismayed Lawfare Arguments Surrounding Ilhan Omar Search Warrant Release Ends on Desk of Infamous and Corrupt DC Judge James Boasberg. Unfortunately, almost any DC judge is about as bad. Chuck Ross @ChuckRossDC, "I like how it takes 10 years for the feds to leak out that Ilhan married her brother and that Swalwell had sex with a Chinese spy, but about 3 weeks for them to leak out that they were investigating Donald Trump's campaign for Russia "collusion"" Quote Ken Dilanian @KDilanianMSNOW, "“Federal agents in Minnesota… found evidence suggesting that Mr. Elmi and Ms. Omar were siblings (meaning Rep Omar married her brother), according to the six former and current officials familiar with the case. But, because prosecutors did not pursue the matter, the agents had limited investigative tools, the officials said."

Joel Pollak @joelpollak, "Republicans are learning that the law is a door that only swings in one direction. Democrats can do illegal and unconstitutional things — like enacting DACA, or putting noncitizens on voting rolls — but when Republicans try to undo these things, judges prevent them from doing so." Steve Ferguson @lsferguson, "The Democrats are corrupting jury pools before the election." Quote Natalie Winters @nataliegwinters, Replying to @nataliegwinters "The plan reaches into GRAND JURIES. It describes educating community members to "“reject improper prosecutions when serving on grand juries” For investigations used to pressure unlawful compliance, it prescribes immediate framing as intimidation aimed at overturning an election." He told me he works four jobs, including as an Uber Eats delivery man, to support his family. He said his kids sell homemade baked goods on a major trail in Boise and earned $1,000 just over the last month. He also told me that doing all of these things in South Africa would have required permits, government approval, and proof of cooperation with a black business or black cooperative before being licensed-- just to deliver food or operate a kid's lemonade stand. ... "Quote Steve Rattner @SteveRattner, "98% of the refugees admitted to the U.S. under Trump have been white South Africans."

Bill Ackman @BillAckman, "How can @MIT and President Kornbluth sit back and allow Kristin Knouse to remain on the MIT faculty when she has been found by a jury of her peers to have falsely accused him of rape, and intentionally destroyed his life and career with the help of co-conspirators in the MIT administration? How does this not violate MIT’s code of conduct? How can one continue to trust the research she produces? Why has MIT not immediately launched a formal investigation to reconsider the removal of @DMSabatini’s tenure and Knouse’s continued inclusion on the faculty? The evidence from the case is now in the public record. It is a straightforward process for MIT to review the facts. Justice must be served." Quote Craig S. From Hollywood In Toto, How Legacy Media Weaponizes Late-Night Propaganda, "Comic tells anti-Trump jokes while reporters feverishly go to work....
