A number of case came down from on high at the Supreme Court yesterday, and it was a mixed bag for the President (as it usually is). The court ruled in Trump v. Slaughter and Trump v Wilcox that the President was free to fire the head of any executive agency, including those the Congress attempted to designate as "independent", but quickly tempered that by ruling in Trump v Cook that Trump could not fire Janet Cook from the Federal Reserve board without some kind of due process. Weird, but as my Daddy used say, consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. In Watson v.
