Flotsam and Jetsam - Trump Iran Ceasefire MOU Under Fire

The ink wasn't dry on the signatures on the MOU the Trump administration signed with Iran nominally ending hostilities between us, and opening the Strait of Hormuz before the professional whiners in the chattering class began complaining. We can safely ignore the whinging from Democrats; Trump could cure cancer, end poverty, clear the national debt, and colonize Mars and they would still fault him. However we should at least consider arguments from the right. Insty, THERE’S A LOT OF CHATTER ABOUT THE IRAN AGREEMENT, BUT I DON’T HAVE A LOT TO SAY. IT WILL FAIL. "At least, Iran will break it, and Trump will start bombing again. I think Trump knows this. The Iranians probably do too. At best it’s Peace Of Amiens II and I doubt it will last that long." At PJM VodkaPundit notes The Iran War Was Easy. The Peace Is the Problem and Rick Moran cites Israeli Pundits that Slam Iran Deal. At Hat Hair, Dave Strom think The 'Deal' Is a Disaster, But It May Save the Midterms but the presents The Counterargument to My Pessimism on Iran. Doug Ross at Director Blue has The Iran Panican Explainer. "A Comic Showing Americans How Not to Get Played." My own thoughts? Barring a total war campaign against Iran to produce an unconditional surrender like Germany and Japan in WWII, some negotiated settlement is necessary, which will require some concessions to Iran. In Germany, boots on the ground went into Berlin; in Japan, the two first nuclear weapons ended the war only after boots on the islands reached near Japanese shores. Who proposes to do it that way?

At Am Think, Joe Cotto thinks Trump's Helping The Economy, But 63% Of Americans Disagree, "The Republican PR machine is failing" as usual. Trump faces two headwinds on the economy, the Press, which with the exception of Fox, and some minor newspapers, will never say anything good about the economy, and inertia, it takes a long time to convince voters that the economy is looking better.

Twitchy thinks JD Vance Calling Out the Absolute COWARDICE in the Senate Over the SAVE Act Is a BEAUTIFUL Thing (Watch). Dave Manney at PJM, Thune Keeps Counting Votes Instead of Finding Them. Ace hears Thune: Some "Republican" Senators Hate Trump Too Much to Protect the Integrity of Federal Elections and Do What Their Constituents Elected Them to Do. "Thune admitted during a closed-door GOP lunch on Wednesday that some Republican senators oppose President Donald Trump so strongly that they will never vote for the SAVE America Act, regardless of the legislation's merits, according to several sources familiar with the matter...Still, the Majority Leader's office denies the admission. "This is a baseless claim, and it is unequivocally untrue," a spokesperson for Thune told the Daily Caller."

Stephen Kruiser at PJM briefs us, Trump Chips Away at the Department of Education, but Will It Be Enough? I'd like to see the whole thing gone, but that's not likely; too much graft in the game.

ABC claims Ukraine strikes Moscow oil refinery in large-scale drone attack, with Zelenskyy saying it's 'time the war ended'. RNC Research @RNCResearch, "The Obama center opening opens with a land acknowledgement: “We honor the Anishinaabe, the Council of Three Fires, the Ojibwe, the Odawa, and the Potawatomi Nations.”" If they really believed it, they'd give it back. VodkaPundit at Insty hears Obama Presidential Center subcontractors claim they’re owed millions and facing financial ruin ahead of grand opening, "
Several [contractors] also described what they viewed as a wall of silence surrounding the project, with some declining to speak publicly or requesting anonymity because of confidentiality agreements or fears of professional retaliation." Althouse consults the NYT, "You did it all with such grace and class and cool that you made the hardest job in the world look like a walk in this beautiful park." "Said Michelle Obama, as "Mr. Obama looked down and wiped away tears." She's quoted in "Presidents Line Up for Obama’s Long-Awaited Center in Chicago/Thursday’s opening drew four former presidents, as well as Bruce Springsteen, Bono and Jennifer Hudson. Chicago has seen years of planning and legal fights" (NYT). Biden was there too, bearing with unbearable sorrow..." Sorry he didn't get a second term as zombie president. Mike Lee @BasedMikeLee, "1/5 Americans can’t afford the price increases that would inevitably follow from a massive influx of federal childcare funding. We’ve seen this movie before. It ends with even higher prices." Quote Elizabeth Warren @SenWarren, "If Elon Musk paid my ultra-millionaire wealth tax, we could pay for child care for all three and four year olds in America."

Ace, Democrats, Migrants and Other Criminals Continue Looting America Blind. "But fortunately, the Trump Administration is busting them. A Pakistani "community leader" feted by communist jihadi Theater Kid Zohran Mamdani stole $38 million of our money in an "adult day care" scam. The first hint it was a scam should have been that it was an "adult day care." This was another Democrat agenda item, and of course they insisted there be practically no verification whatsoever for billing American taxpayers for services not rendered."

Ace reports the European Parliament Votes By Almost 2/3rds Majority, 418 to 218, to Make It Easier to Deport Migrants; Hall Explodes Into Chant of "Send Them Back! Send Them Back!" "The joke leftist newspaper The Guardian is very sad about this, and wants you to know that after the "Send them back!" chant, some shrill voices counter-chanted "shame on you." Oh no, we've never heard squeaky communists hissing "shame" at us." Flopping Aces @FloppingAces, "Europe just experienced one of the fastest religious conversions in political history. For years they called basic border enforcement “fascism.” They called deportation “cruel.” They called any suggestion of returning people who had no right to be there “far-right extremism.” NGOs and center-left politicians treated the very idea of stopping the invasion like it was a moral crime. They cashed the checks, ran the programs, and lectured the rest of us about compassion while the flow continued. Then something changed. Voters started punishing them. The American money tap (that sweet USAID slush fund) got turned off. And suddenly the same people who spent a decade calling enforcement racist are passing the strictest migration law in EU history ... complete with return hubs in third countries, expanded detention powers, and home raids without warrants. The same ministers who once clutched their pearls are now hugging each other on the parliament floor while chanting “send them back.” It’s almost like none of it was ever about principle...." InfantryDort @infantrydort, "The British Isles are beginning to remember what every civilization eventually remembers: A government that cannot protect its people eventually loses the moral authority to govern them. Everything that follows is just the timetable." Roger Kimball at Am Great, The Face of Modern Britain: Jihad’s Triumph. "Britain’s leaders celebrate multiculturalism even as the ideology reshaping the nation grows increasingly hostile to the civilization that welcomed it." LHGrey @grey4626, "England did not fail its daughters. It betrayed them with surgical coldness…with the precise, bureaucratic efficiency of institutions that had already decided which children were expendable and which narratives were sacred. The piece that follows is not another recounting of horror for horror’s sake..." PeterSweden @PeterSweden7 "Maybe the real reason for the social media ban for children in Britain is to stop girls from speaking out and telling their story about the grooming gangs?" Matt Van Swol @mattvanswol, "Correct. They will let Mulsim migrants gang rape the girls, block everyone in the government from helping them, and finally block them from sharing their stories publicly. It's vast evil. And it's deliberate." Alice Smith @TheAliceSmith, "The Left: “Believe All Women!” British Women: “250,000+ of us were systematically raped and tortured by mostly Pakistani men from the 1950s to now with help from our police, social workers, NHS staff and politicians.” The Left: “Yea, not you.”" Jamie Wilson at PJM, The Banality of Keir Starmer: Chestless Bureaucrats and the Betrayal of Britain’s Daughters. Her attacker is still at large."

They are getting destroyed in the rankings. The British public has rejected them. Legacy media is finished. They are lashing out in pure panic because they lost control. 𝕏 is winning because it gave people what they actually wanted - truth." Or if not the truth, at least the opportunity to look for it.

Sunny @sunnyright, "Gee it must suck to be the target of violence for expressing unpopular opinions.
