Random Celebrity News

For some values of "random", "celebrity" and "news". At NewsBusters, Lady Gaza? Leftie Pop Star Rejects White House 'Pride' Invite

During her set at the New York’s Governors Ball festival on Sunday, singer Chappell Roan, born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, told the audience that she declined an invitation to sing at a White House "Pride" event, noting that our nation doesn’t honor “liberty and justice for all.”

It really is comical when the left goes after the left.

Roan was painted head-to-toe in green paint and sported a green wig in a supposed effort to look like the Statue of Liberty.

“In response to the White House, who asked me to perform for Pride: we want liberty, justice and freedom for all. When you do that, that’s when I’ll come,” Roan told the crowd as she began her song entitled, “My Kink is Karma.”

I had never heard of her before, so, mission accomplished!  From Althouse, "Later on, Madonna would admit to sharing a lot with the character of Susan. Both used their powers of persuasion..."

"... to get friends and lovers to do what they wanted. Both were charming con artists that didn’t let you know you were being conned. There was an art to seduction, and Madonna had mastered it. She was a flirt who made everyone she flirted with feel a little bit sexier. Men and women. That was her gift."

Writes Susan Seidelman, in "'Directors Don’t Cry!'/Madonna, Rosanna Arquette, and the Wild Birth of Desperately Seeking Susan/In an excerpt from her memoir, Susan Seidelman watches Madonna go from newcomer ('I’ll do anything to get this part') to icon" (Vanity Fair).

The Hollywood Reporter reports on the ‘Mandalorian’ Firing Lawsuit: How Gina Carano’s Team and Disney Are Battling In Court, "At a Wednesday hearing, a judge expressed skepticism that the Carano's lawsuit should be tossed before discovery is allowed to take place."
A federal judge has signaled that Gina Carano‘s lawsuit against Disney and Lucasfilm over her termination from The Mandalorian will be allowed to proceed as the court considers whether the First Amendment allows private companies to sever ties with employees who publicly clash with their values.

U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett on Wednesday pushed back on arguments from Disney lawyer Daniel Petrocelli, who argued that the lawsuit should be dismissed because the company has the “right not to associate with a high-profile performer on a high-profile show who’s imbuing” the Star Wars series with “views it disagrees with” that could turn fans away from the show.

Petrocelli urged the court to find in favor of Disney on its First Amendment defense on dismissal rather than at a later stage of litigation after discovery takes place in which it’s determined whether the case should be allowed to proceed to trial.

“I’m not convinced there are no disputed facts,” Judge Garnett responded. She pointed to allegations that Carano was terminated to deflect attention from Disney’s contentious business decisions at the time, including the company’s contract dispute with Scarlett Johansson and criticism of Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, which led to the dissolution of its special tax district in the state.

RVM, Hollywood Power Couple Declare ‘LA Is Terrible’ After 2nd Home Invasion This Year
Goldie Hawn is reevaluating her future in crime-ridden Los Angeles after enduring two terrifying home break-ins. Sharing her harrowing experiences on the popular show “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa,” the 78-year-old icon expressed concerns about her safety and considered a potential move away from the city that has been her home for many years.

Hawn opened up about the first burglary, which occurred while she and her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, were enjoying a dinner date. The intruders seized the opportunity and ransacked their home during the two-hour absence.

At Da Mail,  'I'm a gay half-Jew, half-Arab fitness guru with a with a black daughter and 'half-Latin' son - and even I got out of California because it's too woke'

Celebrity fitness trainer Jillian Michaels says she moved away from California because its move to the left got 'too crazy' for her.

Michaels moved with her wife DeShanna Marie Minuto and adopted kids Lukensia, 14, and Phoenix, 12, from Los Angeles, where she grew up, to Miami in June 2021.

She previously said the last straw was when her home was broken into by an intruder with 'duct tape and a video camera' who was let out of jail due to Covid.

Michaels frequently blames Governor Gavin Newsom for what she doesn't like about California, and expanded on that theme on Sage Steele's podcast.

At OTP, Bill Belichick, 72, Dating 24-Year-Old Ex-Cheerleader. Go for it, Bill!

Bill Belichick has a new love interest in his life … TMZ Sports has learned he’s dating 24-year-old former competitive cheerleader Jordon Hudson.

Sources close to the situation tell us the two have been romantic for a while now — becoming an item shortly after the ex-New England Patriots head coach called off his longtime relationship with Linda Holliday.

According to one of Hudson’s former cheerleading teammates, Hudson first met the 72-year-old on a flight from the Boston area bound for Florida way back in 2021 … and bonded over a philosophy project the student-athlete had been working on.

And no celebrity post would be complete without Taylor Swift. Bad news, for those who want more news from Taylor, from Da Caller, Taylor Swift Announces End Of Eras Tour

Taylor Swift revealed Thursday her history-making Eras Tour will come to an end in December after a long, successful run. The famous singer made the announcement during her 100th concert of the tour in Liverpool.

“This has definitely been the most exhausting but all-encompassing, most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life, this tour,” Swift told her adoring fans in the crowd.

Fan-captured video showed Swift thanking fans for their support in making this tour such a huge success. The Eras Tour is the highest grossing of all-time and the first to ever reach $1 billion, as reported by Rolling Stone.

And for what a big deal that is, CNBC market analysists say Taylor Swift’s London Eras Tour could delay Bank of England rate cut

Taylor Swift’s record-shattering Eras Tour is continuing to supercharge consumer spending as it enters its U.K. leg, suggesting that the Bank of England may not be out of the woods yet in its fight against inflation.

As hundreds of thousands of dedicated Swifties flock to London in August to see the singing sensation during her final U.K. dates, the economic boost could be enough to defer a possible September interest rate cut, according to investment bank TD Securities.

“We still anticipate a BoE cut in August, but the inflation data for that month might keep the MPC (Monetary Policy Committee) on hold in September,” the bank’s macro strategist, Lucas Krishan, and its head of global macro strategy, James Rossiter, wrote in a note Friday.

The Bank of England is expected to soon begin lowering its bank rate from a 16-year high of 5.25%, with all but two of 65 economists polled by Reuters anticipating a cut in August, while financial markets are pricing in September. However, a possible clash between one of Swift’s August tour dates and a key inflation index day could skew the data enough to make the bank rethink its path, the analysts said. “A surge in hotel prices then could be material, temporarily adding as much as 30bps to services inflation (+15bps on headline),” Krishan and Rossiter wrote.

Well, that ought to suffice.

Madge Not Yet Come to Terms with Trump Presidency

Madonna slams Trump in Miami show
Madonna kissed Ariana Grande, repeatedly criticized President elect Donald Trump and said she was ashamed to be an American in a magnetic performance in Miami on Friday night where she raised more than $7.5 million for the African nation of Malawi.
It takes a lot to shame Madonna. Apparently, pron with Vanilla Ice isn't quite enough.
The Material Girl dug deep into her personal treasures, auctioning off pieces from her own art collection, a costume from her tour modeled by Grande and black and white photos from her 1985 wedding to ex-husband Sean Penn shot by the late photographer Herb Ritts. The trio of wedding photos sold for $230,000.
Not my cup of tea, but good for Malawi.
Penn, who attended the fundraiser and bid on several pricey items when the auction stalled, handcuffed Madonna and crawled through her legs at one point as the two tried to coerce the audience to bid higher.
. . .
Madonna, who performed in a pink sequined clown top and fishnet stockings, seemed to hold nothing back, especially her opinions on the election, joking with the audience that she had promised to perform sexual favors for those who voted for Hillary.

No wonder Trump won!
She coyly said she'd been in Donald Trump's bed, but later revealed it was for a magazine photo shoot and that Trump wasn't even there — and she criticized his cheap sheets.

"They won't be Egyptian cotton because we all know how he feels about Muslims don't we," she said as some audience members gasped.

Actually, many Egyptians are strongly pro-Trump, having been screwed by Hillary and Obama.
Hillary Clinton is hugely unpopular in Egypt—a function primarily of her having served as secretary of state under U.S. President Barack Obama during the 2011 Egyptian revolution, which toppled longtime leader Hosni Mubarak. Ten days into the revolution, Obama demanded that his Egyptian counterpart, a three-decade U.S. ally, heed protesters’ demands and immediately step down. For those Egyptians who were positively inclined toward the military-led regime—and even for much of the apolitical middle, which is concerned above all with stability—the move was a betrayal. It paved the way for the Muslim Brotherhood’s election a year later and its subsequent, bloody removal by the military in July 2013. Clinton’s close relationship with her aide Huma Abedin—whose family some critics allege is sympathetic to the Brotherhood—didn’t help her favorability ratings in Egypt.
