Here's a pretty good breakdown of how the Ukraine Starlink kerfuffle probably happened. Long story short Ukrainian's were hacking Starlink to allow it to do things it wasn't supposed to (like offensive attacks). But then, so was Russia. Starlink changed the software to prevent that, and Ukraine got bent out of shape (the Russians probably did to, but they were too polite to complain).
