Born and bred in Spain's Canary Islands, Laura Coviella came to surfing later than most of her peers, but when she finally stood on a board, at age 12, it ignited a lifelong love affair. By 15, Laura was hooked and spending her days glued to her favourite pros' video parts, by 18 she was competing internationally, and before too long she would relocate from the mellow waves of Tenerife to the heaving slabs of Lanzarote, a few islands over from home.
