We survived Snowmaggedopacolypse 2026 just fine. After yesterday's post, it continued to sleet all day, beating down the 3 inches of snow we started with, and ended the evening with a light bit of freezing rain, enough to produce a little icicles on the deck railing and light glazing in the trees without doing any damage. Later, we'll go out and chip the driveway clear, but that shouldn't be too onerous. Right now, it's 23 F and a light band on snow is going by, adding to the total. Our power never went out, although SMECO did have some outages. School, of course, is canceled as is Corwin's job, so Corwin and Gabby get another day to sled. All in all not too bad for a storm that, a week out, was predicted to dump up to 15 inches of snow, and up to an inch of ice.
