We were scheduled to go to the Pearl Harbor Memorial, but somehow the government shutdown delayed that, so we visited Queen Emma’s summer home. I hadn’t known before that Hawain royalty had married into the British royal family.
Eventually we found a way to go to Pearl Harbor.

Glad you go to go to Pearl Harbor. Strangest place I have ever visited, the "feel" was the strange part, as soon as the boat docked everyone went silent, even a baby that had cried the entire trip, including waiting for the boat stopped crying. Yes I would return to honor thos who lost their lives that day
