I guess we're already for the upcoming snowmaggedocopolypse. The forecast is currently 5+ inches of snow, followed by about 2 inches of the dreaded "wintery mix." We have enough food and toilet paper to last it out, our water supply is reasonably secure. We have a propane generator that can keep a few necessities running if necessary. This morning the temperature bottomed out at 11.3 F, and has risen to 14.7. The wind is 20 kts from the north, gusting to 30, so I don't expect to go to the beach.
