Fast and Furious Tied to Paris Massacre?

One of the Paris terrorist's guns has been traced back to a gun shop in Phoenix. Suspicious actions by DOJ and ATF make it seem like they have something to hide. Could it be a "Fast and Furious" gun that walked overseas? More good work from Judicial Watch.

More Bodies From Eric Holder? Phoenix Gun Tied To Paris Terror Attacks
Judicial Watch has confirmed that one of the AK-pattern rifles used in the November 2015 Islamic terror attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and wounded 368 came from Phoenix, home of Eric Holder’s weapon smuggling plot known as Operation Fast and Furious.
One of the guns used in the November 13, 2015 Paris terrorist attacks came from Phoenix, Arizona where the Obama administration allowed criminals to buy thousands of weapons illegally in a deadly and futile “gun-walking” operation known as “Fast and Furious.”
A Report of Investigation (ROI) filed by a case agent in the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) tracked the gun used in the Paris attacks to a Phoenix gun owner who sold it illegally, “off book,” Judicial Watch’s law enforcement sources confirm. Federal agents tracing the firearm also found the Phoenix gun owner to be in possession of an unregistered fully automatic weapon, according to law enforcement officials with firsthand knowledge of the investigation.
The investigative follow up of the Paris weapon consisted of tracking a paper trail using a 4473 form, which documents a gun’s ownership history by, among other things, using serial numbers. The Phoenix gun owner that the weapon was traced back to was found to have at least two federal firearms violations—for selling one weapon illegally and possessing an unregistered automatic—but no enforcement or prosecutorial action was taken against the individual. Instead, ATF leaders went out of their way to keep the information under the radar and ensure that the gun owner’s identity was “kept quiet,” according to law enforcement sources involved with the case. “Agents were told, in the process of taking the fully auto, not to anger the seller to prevent him from going public,” a veteran law enforcement official told Judicial Watch.
Reading between the lines, it would be reasonable to conclude that the most likely reason that the ATF would cover up federal gun felonies was that the individual involved had damaging information regarding Operation Fast and Furious, a gun smuggling plot of the Obama administration that attempted to inflate the number of American firearms recovered in Mexican drug cartel shootouts in order to build a case for banning the sale of semi-automatic rifles, certain semi-automatic pistols, and .50 BMG rifles in the United States.
One would hope that the ATF and DOJ would own up to a mistake like that, but that would be a complete overestimation of the honesty of bureaucrats.

French Terrorist Raid Kills Dog

From Stacy McCain: TERROR RAID: French Police Kill Two, Arrest Seven Suspects in Saint Denis
In a pre-dawn raid reportedly aimed at the mastermind of the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, at least two suspects were killed and five arrested in the suburb of Saint Denis. CNN initially reported three suspects had been killed, including one female who blew herself up with a bomb, during the raid targeting Abdelhamid Abaaoud, suspected of organizing the Paris attacks. The Washington Post reports:
Gunshots and explosions rang out from the northern suburb of Saint-Denis early Wednesday as more than 100 French police and army troops laid siege to an apartment with at least six terror suspects, potentially including the alleged ringleader of Friday’s deadly attacks in Paris.
The narrow streets of Saint Denis were clogged with police vehicles and ambulances as witnesses reported multiple explosions. The operation began around 4:30 a.m. [11:30 p.m. ET], and left several police officers wounded and at least two suspects dead. The dead included a woman who blew herself up, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The prosecutor’s office said three men were removed from the besieged apartment block and taken into custody. Their identities were not given. A man and a woman were arrested next to the apartment and also taken into custody. One suspect appeared to be still holed up.
While I'm sorry that French police were hurt in the raid, what's really sad is according to BBC reports a Belgian Malinois name Diesel working with the French Police was killed in the explosion:

It's good to see someone taking the problem of Islamic terrorism seriously.

Interpol Chief Commits Heresy

Interpol Chief: Armed Citizenry Might Be Answer To Terrorism
The secretary general of Interpol, the Europe-based international policing agency, has some near-revolutionary thoughts on what people can do to protect themselves against terrorists like the group that killed dozens of people at a Kenyan mall last month. Addressing the topic of “soft targets,” meaning gathering places that aren’t secured like government or military buildings, the official, Ronald Noble, said, “Societies have to think about how they’re going to approach the problem. One is to say we want an armed citizenry; you can see the reason for that. Another is to say the enclaves are so secure that in order to get into the soft target you’re going to have to pass through extraordinary security.”

Speaking to ABC News, the American law-enforcement veteran went further: “Ask yourself: If that was Denver, Colorado, if that was Texas, would those guys have been able to spend hours, days, shooting people randomly?” Noble said, referring to states with pro-gun traditions. “What I’m saying is it makes police around the world question their views on gun control. It makes citizens question their views on gun control. You have to ask yourself, ‘Is an armed citizenry more necessary now than it was in the past with an evolving threat of terrorism?’ This is something that has to be discussed.”
My bold. Good point. In a crowd in red areas of the United States (and some part of the blue one) a crowd the size of the Paris concert would contain scores of armed individuals. Not all would be willing or able to engage the terrorists, but certainly some would if the alternative was death, and the
In his remarks at a conference in Colombia, Noble explained that the Kenya attack indicated “an evolution in terrorism,” which will mean more attacks on soft targets and fewer attacks on secure targets (such as, in the past, the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, U.S. embassies, etc.) He also noted that Interpol would try to prevent such attacks by preventing terrorists’ movement across international borders.
Maybe we need to mandate that government agencies stay soft targets, so they have more incentive to keep the remainder of society free of terrorists.

Paris: It's Over For Now

Charlie Hebdo Attackers, French Market Gunman Killed In Separate Raids
French authorities killed three terrorists in separate raids at two hostage locations Friday.

Explosions and gunfire were heard at a Parish kosher market and a printing plant at Dammartin-en-Goele in separate raids that happened within minutes of each other. CBS News showed video of authorities going into the kosher market. At least five explosions were heard at the market location. Authorities were able to get a live feed of the market’s security cameras before making their move.

CBS News reports the gunman at the kosher market has been killed. The gunman was identified as Amedy Coulibaly. Four hostages were also killed at the market.

CBS News also reports that the suspects behind the Charlie Hebdo attack — Said and Cherif Kouachi — have been killed at the printing plant and that a hostage has been freed. The Associated Press reports the brothers came out of the building shooting before being killed by police. The Kouachi brothers killed 12 people at the French satirical newspaper on Wednesday.

One of the brothers had been convicted of terrorism charges in 2008, the other had visited Yemen. A U.S. official said both brothers — 32-year-old Cherif Kouachi and 34-year-old Said Kouachi — were on the American no-fly list.

“They said they want to die as martyrs,” Yves Albarello, a local lawmaker who said he was inside the command post, told French television station i-Tele.
I hope the police greased their bullets with pig fat.
