Flotsam and Jetsam - Don Lemon Goes to Church, May Get Arrested

Tyler O'Neil at Da Signal wonders Who’s Responsible for Demonizing ICE So Much That Agitators Invaded a Church Service? (featuring a picture of Tim Walz). Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius, "You know what other Democrat group used to attack peaceful worshipers in churches? The Ku Klux Klan. You Democrats never change." Nick Arama at RedState, MN Church Stormed by Anti-ICE Agitators Releases Statement Showing Their Actions May Have Consequences, civil suits too? "We are evaluating next steps with our legal counsel." Irons in the Fire asks Remember a jerk named Don Lemon, used to be with CNN? "He's moved on to claiming the 1st Amendment give him and his clowns the right to, at the least, trespassing and- if they kept people from leaving and such- quite possibly kidnapping. No, it doesn't, asshole. And you and the others should be prosecuted." From NYPo, Don Lemon blasts Minnesota churchgoers harassed by anti-ICE protesters for ‘entitlement’ and ‘white supremacy.’ Brad Slager at RedState, The Don Lemon Church Incursion Could Serve As a Tipping Point for the Direction of the Country. Ace notes Jonathan Turley: Gay Sexual Assaulter Don Lemon Is Talking Himself Into a Prison Sentence "A lot of crimes turn on mental state -- "intent." James Comey can tell you all about that. He reads "intent" requirements into laws that don't have it, like the Espionage Act. Many times, you can take prohibited actions but not be chargeable with a crime because you didn't have the specified mental state. Don Lemon obviously did invade a church. The question is: Did he intend to traumatize them? Did he intend to impede their civil rights through threat or force? Did he show animus against their religion? Don Lemon is yet another 70 IQ DEI disaster, like Candace Owens, who thinks he's smart because he's been awarded Participation Trophy after Participation Trophy." Jonathan Turley @JonathanTurley "Don Lemon did his best to perfect the case against the protesters in the Minneapolis Church as targeting the congregants over their faith. In what sounds like a pitch for prosecution under the FACE Act, Lemon zeroed in on the religious values of the congregants in a new tirade... ...Lemon and Armstrong are playing directly into the language of the FACE Act, which "prohibits the use or threat of force and physical obstruction that injures, intimidates, or interferes with a person seeking to ... exercise the First Amendment right of religious freedom at a place of religious worship."" Gunther Eagleman™ @GuntherEagleman, "Don Lemon just DOUBLED DOWN, calling the church members he terrorized "entitled white supremacists" for being upset he STORMED their service to "protest" ICE! Don Lemon is a POS."

Ace, Of Course: Jihadist Muslim Antifa AG Keith Ellison Prosecuted Christians for Protesting Outside a Mosque Under the FACE Act, but Insists His Left-Wing Antifa Thug Buddies Have an Inviolable Right to Storm Christian Churches. Chuck Ross @ChuckRossDC, "ABOUT FACE: Minnesota AG Keith Ellison has called for the use of the FACE Act to prosecute protests at mosques, according to @FreeBeacon review. Now, Ellison insists the FACE Act shouldn't apply to Don Lemon and comrades' storming of a church." Chuck Ross at the Free Bacon, ‘They’re Getting Tender About a Church Service’: Minnesota AG Keith Ellison Defends Left-Wing Agitators Who Stormed Minnesota Church "'None of us are immune from the voice of the public,' Ellison said in an interview with Don Lemon, who accompanied the agitators and boasted of conducting 'reconnaissance.'" Ace, Minnesota Democrat Lawmaker (and Transgender): The Church Invasion That Resulted in Children Fleeing in Fear Is "Essential," "Must Continue." Dave Strom, Minnesota's Democrats Endorse Storming Church and Harassing Ordinary Minnesotans. Da Wire reports Minneapolis Prosecutor’s Top Aide Was Part Of Anti-ICE Protest At Church. Luke Rosiak @lukerosiak, "One of the protesters who took over a church service and screamed "shut it down" works for Minneapolis's local prosecutor, is married to a St. Paul councilwoman, is running for state Senate, and runs HOMES FOR HOMIES taking Section 8 money and steering it to black criminals." CBD at Ace's The Morning Rant: Violence Is Being Normalized. Twitchy, ICE Agent Refuses to Show Warrant to Lib Because 'You're a Nobody'. johnny maga@_johnnymaga, "Lib tries to protect a child predator from ICE: “Do you have a warrant? At Hollywood in Toto, Celebrities Can’t Stop Lying About Renee Good, with special reference to The Boss.

At Althouse, "The Department of Homeland Security and ICE must start talking about the murderers and other criminals that they are capturing and taking out of the system." ""They are saving many innocent lives! There are thousands of vicious animals in Minnesota alone, which is why the crime stats are, Nationwide, the BEST EVER RECORDED! Show the Numbers, Names, and Faces of the violent criminals, and show them NOW. The people will start supporting the Patriots of ICE, instead of the highly paid troublemakers, anarchists, and agitators! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" Writes Trump, just now, on his place called Truth." Sundance at CTH, Border Patrol and ICE Officials Hold a Press Conference Discussing Ongoing Targeted Operations in Minneapolis, Minnesota, laying out the criminals they caught.

Blue Lives Matter @bluelivesmtr, "We're not saying that Blue Lives Matter was behind feeding false information to far-left, anti-ICE protestors. We're not saying we had teams comprised of HUNDREDS of off-duty cops and veterans volunteer to run decoy operations so far-left activists THOUGHT they were conducting ICE raids. We're not saying they were in fact they were just driving around in what appeared to be unmarked vehicles with tinted windows... drinking coffee and listening to Guns and Roses.... being chased down and surrounded by protestors. What we ARE saying is that if it DID happen.... it sure worked remarkably well in NINE DIFFERENT STATES, allowing ACTUAL raids to successfully take place unimpeded, helping support the capture of HUNDREDS of criminals. . . "

Yesterday was the 1st anniversary of Trump's second inauguration. Beege Welborn at Hat Hair, 'When He Was 47, It Was a Very Good Year'. Althouse, With stacks of papers as props, Trump endeavors to prove to the press that the first year of his second term was jam-packed with amazing accomplishments. "I watched the entire thing, and you can too. If you don't already agree that it's been a great year, I don't think he can ever prove it to you, but he has to do this, because, he says, no one else is going to do it for him." Althouse, "President Trump has said he would ensure Iran was 'wiped off the face of the Earth' if the country carried out any assassination attempt against him...." ""In an interview with NewsNation that aired on Tuesday... the president said: 'I’ve left notification, if anything ever happens … the whole country’s going to get blown up. I would absolutely hit them so hard. I have very firm instructions, anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this Earth.'" The London Times reports." It would be difficult to wipe Iran from the face of the earth. But it would be very easy to make sure the survivors were miserable. Also, "I mean, whatever you think about the operation to get rid of Maduro, whether you think it was wise, it was an astonishing display of military prowess." "Said Jonathan Swan in today's episode of the NYT "Daily" podcast, "Trump 2.0: A Year of Unconstrained Power" (audio and transcript at Podscribe). From Althouse, "Maybe Mr. Adams was an early Trump supporter because 'Dilbert' was itself proto-MAGA." ""The strip’s everyday resentments and cynicism added up to a now-familiar worldview. 'There’s no such thing as expertise. It just doesn’t exist,' Mr. Adams said. Mr. Adams thought this extended even to issues like international trade. 'In these big, complicated situations, no one really knows if we have a good deal. It’s best just to negotiate from ignorance and hope the other side gives in,' he told me. 'In the real world there is a fog. In a world where nobody knows, the loudest person is going to get the most.' . . . Writes Joel Stein, in "'Dilbert' Was Always MAGA" (NYT)."

Inez Stepman @InezFeltscher, "The trajectory of the “conservative condemning the right” is basically the same one trod by porn actresses. Quote Bill Kristol @BillKristol, "Well said by @Timodc. I’d add that no one is under any obligation to answer metaphysical or theological questions. Ace, In Socialist Grifter Millionaire Paradise of Davos, Gavin Newsom Calls Upon World Leaders to Oppose the United States, but "Before getting to that: The EU is very bothered about Trump's drive to take Greenland. Trump has threatened punishing tariffs against the EU for opposing his takeover of Greenland."

Cynical Publius @CynicalPublius, "The lightning speed with which a newly-installed regime in Virginia enacted a series of Marxist, pro-crime laws is astonishing. This is what Democrats will do nationally if they regain power. Meanwhile, the eGOP is unwilling to take any actions to support the MAGA agenda while they sit and stew with “muh principles” and “if we do it to them they’ll do it to us.” Guess what? They are going to do it to us no matter what. End the filibuster. Enshrine the DOGE cuts. Pass the SAVE Act. Save America." Beege Welborn at Hat Hair, Incoming NJ Gov Mikie Sherrill Promising Power Ranger Moves "New Jersey’s new governor, Mikie Sherrill, is poised to freeze electricity rates on her first day in office, following through on a key campaign promise as US politicians including President Donald Trump rush to take on soaring energy costs. Sherrill, a Democrat, will issue an executive order calling a state of emergency on utility costs after she’s sworn into office Tuesday, said a person familiar with the matter. The much-anticipated moves will enable New Jersey to block utility-rate increases sought by companies while it accelerates new power generation, said Allison Clements, co-chair of Sherrill’s energy transition team." Good luck with that.

Dmitri Bolt at TownHall, Guess How Much of Every Humanitarian Dollar the US Spends Actually Reaches the People Who Need It? JD Vance estimates 12%. The rest is "overhead". And they have a memorial for it now where you can see where people were and left. It's been 126 years since double lynching in Columbus. vittorio @IterIntellectus "Why Young Women Moved Left While Young Men Stayed Sane." Althouse, "In just four years, anti-gay bias rose by around 10 percent.... Just as bias against gay people fell especially steeply before 2020..." ""... it has surged particularly sharply since. Perhaps most surprising is that these trends were distinctly robust among the youngest American adults — those under 25. This group increased its animus against marginalized groups in general and gay people in particular at a faster rate than older Americans did. Also surprising is that although anti-gay bias has risen faster among conservatives, it has also risen among liberals. What explains this decline in tolerance?" From "Americans Are Turning Against Gay People" (NYT). Tolerance?! I would think it's considered homophobic just to use the word "tolerance," which connotes minimal acceptance and little more than a willingness to refrain from discriminating or saying actively mean things. In fact, I'd suggest it is the demand to do so much more — to celebrate pride in sexual matters and to endure indoctrination sessions that force feed questionable fine points — that has made people resistant and more likely to check a less gay-friendly box on the survey." Flotsam and Jetsam - Is the Ice Breaking on the 'Simoleans for Somalians' Scandal?

I have to credit some Althouse commenter for that name. Unfortunately, I can't find it again. The growing scandal of literally billions of dollars in ."Minnesota on fraudulent businesses largely headed by Somali immigrants is starting to draw a lot of attention, most of it on Twitter. These are, of course, federal programs being administered by the state. Mainstream liberal outlets are currently avoiding it like it might hurt Democrats or something. From Fox, of course, Misspelled learning center, no children inside: Emmer presses Walz over Minnesota daycare tied to $4M "House Majority Whip Tom Emmer demands answers after viral video shows Quality 'Learing' Center with no activity." From Twitchy, 'You Should Be Thanking Us': Somali Community Demands Praise Amid Massive Minnesota Fraud Scandal. They see it as harvesting ripe fruit. Shipwreckedcrew, A Lawsplainer -- The Somali Fraud Edition "It's a tale as old as time and I've seen in play out a dozen times with a dozen different immigrant nationality groups -- steal what you can get away with is an ethos to live by in the Third World." arctotherium @arctotherium42, "Somalis really are the reductio ad absurdum of the lib position on immigration. Highest welfare use and lowest incomes and horrifying cultural practices (FGM) and openly hate America and funnel money to overseas terrorists on top of the billions of dollars in fraud." James O'Keefe @JamesOKeefeIII, "Besides tweet, write letters and raise money, what are the Republicans going to do about what @nickshirleyy exposed in Minnesota?" Quote JD Vance @JDVance, "What's happening in Minnesota is a microcosm of the immigriation fraud in our system. Politicans like it because they get power. Welfare cheats like it because they get rich. But it's a zero sum game, and they're stealing both money and political power from Minnesotans."John Lund @AttilaTheLund, "Just like with voter fraud, we know medicare and childcare fraud isn't happening, because it would be a FELONY if people did it, and convictions for this type of fraud are extremely rare."

Hans Mahncke @HansMahncke. "It is striking how many people fixate on fraud enforcement while missing the forest for the trees. When you engage in mass migration from low-trust societies into high-trust ones, you inevitably produce corruption and industrial-scale abuse of public systems. You cannot have state-funded welfare without a high-trust culture, and you cannot preserve that culture while importing large numbers of people who do not share its basic assumptions. No amount of audits or enforcement surges will fix that." Benny Johnson @bennyjohnson, "33,000 homeless US veterans living on the streets. Politicians say there are no resources to help them Same politicians funnel billions in tax dollars to criminal Somalis who fund the same Islamic terrorists the homeless veterans fought Mass deportation is the moderate position." PJM's Matt Margolis wonders, How Long Before Tim Walz Faces Indictment? I predict never. Don Keith @RealDonKeith, "Remember how shocked everyone was when Kamala Harris strangely chose quirky Tim Waltz as her VP running mate? What if it wasn’t a strange decision at all and a calculation based on access to billions of dollars of Somali fraud money that could be funneled to her Presidential campaign or personal finances? Nick Shirley and the FBI have uncovered what may be the largest theft of tax payer dollars in U.S. history and I predict, when we examine other states, we’ll find that this is just the tip of the iceberg."

Tom Bevan @TomBevanRCP, "Not a peep about fraud, but a big story on Tim Walz building his influencer army" at the Minnesota Star Trib. Stephen L. Miller @redsteeze, "One kid with an iPhone vs thousands of corporate uninterested paid journalists. Incredible." Quote Nick shirley @nickshirleyy, "Here is the full 42 minutes of my crew and I exposing Minnesota fraud, this might be my most important work yet. We uncovered over $110,000,000 in ONE day. Like it and share it around like wildfire! Its time to hold these corrupt politicians and fraudsters accountable." Jim in MN @HuskersMN, After 3 straight days of ground breaking reporting by Nick, a 22 yr old YouTuber, in what is the now the biggest story in the country, today’s state’s newspapers have ZERO mention of it. This is a key part of the how the corruption works here-it gets total safety from the MN media." Dustin Grage @GrageDustin, "Minnesota’s largest paper just released its Year in Review. Not a single mention of the fraud consuming our state. This is how the fraud was able to balloon into what it is today." Western Lensman @WesternLensman, "Very Serious Journalist Jake Tapper takes time to post his Very Serious Concerns about 𝕏 posts showing people yelling stuff at Tim Walz Meanwhile, zero posts from Jake about the viral posts all over 𝕏 reporting on the fraud in Tim Walz’ state." Western Lensman @WesternLensma, "Here’s what a CNN anchor said about protestors outside Supreme Court Justices’ homes in 2022: "A conversation about ‘civility’ feels like it misses the mark." The Justices have security and people are angry, so what’s the big deal?" Drew Holden @DrewHolden360, "THREAD The legacy media didn’t miss the Minnesota Somalian fraud story. They actively dismissed it as made up, racist, or xenophobic. Before the stories are quietly edited, I’ve got screenshots." The Babylon Bee Would Like To Inform Tim Walz We Are Now A Functioning Daycare In Minnesota. "Mr. Walz can make out the check from the state government to cover those expenses to Seth Dillon, proud owner and operator of Lil' Bees. The check will need to be mailed to a Florida address, which is standard operating procedure for Minnesota daycares."

Dale Stark @DaleStarkA10 "So what percentage of the federal budget is being laundered directly to democrat client groups? If some Gen Z YouTuber can uncover over $100 million in an afternoon the full scope has to be mind bending." Fugitive Caesar @ThomBrady5, "$2 trillion per year, so about a fourth of the annual budget, is going straight to Leftists." Coddled Affluent Professional @feelsdesperate, "I’m at a point where I just don’t think progressive technocracy can do anything, Say you allocated $100 million to fix potholes. I could see connected NGOs manufacturing potholes to fill and gobbling $80 million to no net benefit. I could see the academic/ expert class gobbling $10 million to study the ‘root causes’ of potholes. And then I could see whatever is left over to actually fill potholes being tied up in red tape and regulatory obstacles. And this would even be considered money well spent. They’d feel good and pat themselves on the back for it."

Driscoll, on WHEN YOU LOSE THE ABILITY TO DEBATE: "As William F. Buckley famously said, “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.” Because the modern left have siloed themselves off into leftist-only fiefdoms such as CNN*, M-SNOW (classical reference), and the New York Times, they’ve increasingly lost the ability to debate the other side. The result is this train wreck: One ‘Journalist’ Shows Just How Insane the Left Is Willing to Be in the Name of ‘Morality.’ "I don’t know if you’ve seen this clip going around the internet, but it’s a jaw-dropper. It features MSNBC “journalist” Paola Ramos debating Malcolm and Simone Collins, a Trump-supporting couple, about genetics. Ramos asserts that there is no scientific evidence that there are genetic differences between races, to which the Collinses assure her there is. This goes back and forth for a while, with Malcolm, in particular, trying not to lose his mind as he pushes back against Ramos’ assertion that black women are no different from any other race on a genetic level. Eventually, Ramos says these claims aren’t hers, but the NIH’s." Don Keith @RealDonKeith, "This must be the dumbest journalist of all time@paoramos tries to convince two Trump supporters that there is no scientific evidence that proves different ethnicities have different genetics, even citing the NIH as source. This is a patently false statement that only the lowest IQ’d, woke, journalist would make. It took me about 30 seconds to confirm that the NIH does indeed support the science of genetic differences for different ethnicities."

Flotsam and Jetsam - 'Twas the Day After Christmas

and all through the house . . . Well, at least I'm starting to feel a little human again. Whatever flu this bugger is, it's a mean one. On my second day Georgia suggested I ask the doctor if I could get Tamiflu. The doc said it only works against types A and B flu, and asked had I tested. Well, no, but we went to the store and got a test for A, B and Covid. Negative for all three, so we'll just have to wait it out. After a week, Gabby is still getting high fevers and Georgia and I occasionally show low ones. Yesterday, my chest was so sore from coughing I could barely move. Today I feel a lot better, if not really well.

Vic Nava at NYPo reports Trump launches ‘powerful and deadly’ Christmas Day strikes on ISIS targeting Christians in Nigeria: ‘Terrorist Scum’. "Nigeria’s foreign minister, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, said the strike was a 'joint operation' targeting 'terrorist,' and it 'has nothing to do with a particular religion.'" ""Without naming Isis specifically, Tuggar said the operation had been planned 'for quite some time' and had used intelligence information provided by the Nigerians. He did not rule out further strikes, adding that this depended on 'decisions to be taken by the leadership of the two countries'.... The strike comes after Trump in late October threatened to send his military intervention in to Nigeria 'guns a-blazing' over what he said was a failure to stop violence targeting Christian communities. In a diplomatic turnaround earlier this week, Trump handed Nigeria a $1.6 billion aid package in exchange for the protection of Christians...." From "US strikes Isis in Nigeria to protect ‘innocent Christians’, says Trump/The attacks on Islamic State were conducted with the co-operation of Nigeria after the US president threatened to go into the country ‘guns a-blazing'" (London Times)." At Insty, Sarah Hoyt calls it a A FITTING ACTION, IN THE TRADITION OF CROSSING A FROZEN RIVER ON CHRISTMAS TO CUT THE SLEEPING ENEMIES’ THROATS, JUST AS WAS DONE BEFORE.

Capt. Ed at Hat Hair says Sacre Bleu! Macron Steams After US Bars Censorship-Happy EU Officials. Althouse, "The State Department is taking decisive action against five individuals who have led organized efforts to coerce American platforms to censor, demonetize, and suppress American viewpoints they oppose." "Said Marco Rubio, quoted in "'Witch hunt': Ex-EU commissioner Breton denounces U.S. visa ban targeting ‘censorship'" (CNBC)." Ace, Trump Begins Sanctioning EU Officials For Attempting to Impose Communist/Sharia-Compliant Censorship on Americans "The EU believes it can sanction everyone in the world -- but may not be sanctioned themselves. Their beliefs are gay and retarded." Preston Byrne @prestonjbyrne, "Everyone freaking out over European sanctions today simply hasn't done the reading. What is happening now is the resolution of a 60-year-old question that the world has not (yet) answered: in a world where law is confined to borders, who gets to write the laws of the Internet?"

Capt. Ed hears NEW: Zelensky, Putin Inching Up to Possible Deal? Color me skeptical. From Sundance at CTH, Memos of Conversations Between George W. Bush and President Vladimir Putin Are Released "I know it’s Christmas, but bookmark or review as time allows, because the content is very interesting and very important. As early as 2001 and 2008, President Putin clearly told President Bush of his opposition to Ukraine’s accession to NATO, along with other key positions."

PJM's Stephen Kruiser sees Trump's Economy Delivers Some Early Christmas Joy. Ace, Trump Reaches the 50% Approval Mark in One Poll. "It is very rare for modern presidents to ever have majority support. Even Obama, who the media told me was a transformational figure that everyone loved (Except Racists (TM)) spent his entire presidency at 43-45% approval. Insider Advantage says that Trump's at 50%." Jen O'Connell at RedState has Hot Takes: The Trump Admin's 'Merry Christmas' X Posts Set the Gold Standard on Political Greetings. Don Surber says It’s Trump’s world, we just live in it. "Honduras elects a president endorsed by our favorite American president."

Capt. Ed has Great News: We Have Another Week of Epstein Files Disclosures. Kurt Schlichter @KurtSchlichter "Because it’s in the file. They were required to release everything in the file. The fact that there’s garbage in the file is one of the reasons they didn’t want to release it, but it was very important to release everything so this is everything. Glad I could help." Quote Jamie Dupree @jamiedupree "Okay. So then why would DOJ publicly release something that's fake? Your answers please. x.com/TheJusticeDept…" Steven R. Fields@stevenrfields "And the idiot congress critters that sponsored the bill wrote it so broadly that they’ll probably release post-it-notes before this is over. So now the same oxygen thieves (@RoKhanna I’m looking at you) are complaining that they really only wanted certain documents. Theatre." Kurt Schlichter at TownHall thinks Conspiracy Theorists Are Conspiring to Be Stupid "Let’s look at the Epstein files. Does someone think that Epstein sat there and typed up a list of his victims and a monologue detailing his nefarious deeds, like some Bond villain explaining his whole plan to 007 before sending him off somewhere to be killed, thereby facilitating his escape? And does anyone imagine that if Joe Biden’s DOJ had even the hint of Donald Trump mingling with jailbait that wouldn’t have been on the front page of The New York Times in 2015 or thereafter? To even start with the Trump/Epstein conspiracy theory, you must begin by refusing to acknowledge these most obvious and basic facts. It’s not an auspicious beginning, and that’s why no one but fools were shocked that the newly open files were so free of incriminating material on Trump that the nuts and liars had to either start creating incriminating photos or pretending that Trump cavorting with Hawaiian Tropic models was some sort of scandal rather than another reason he’s awesome."

Hans Mahnke at Da Fed thinks that 5 Years Too Late, Fulton County Proves Trump’s Call To Raffensperger Right. "If nothing comes of Fulton County’s admission, the implication will be that election laws can be treated as optional rather than binding." I thought that was already pretty well established by the 2020 election.

At Althouse, "Death is a wicked thief, and the bastard pursues us all. Still, I’ve got less time than I’d prefer." "Wrote Ben Sasse, quoted in "Republican former senator Ben Sasse says he has terminal cancer/The 53-year-old — who was one of a handful of Republicans to speak out against Trump during his first term — said in a lengthy social media post he has Stage 4 pancreatic cancer and suggested he doesn’t have long to live" (WaPo)." Amy Curtis at TownHall thinks Eric Swalwell Just United the Internet in Hating His Post About Sasse's Cancer Diagnosis. Rep. Eric Swalwell @RepSwalwell, "How can someone so good like Ben Sasse be stricken with something so bad like pancreatic cancer? Life’s unfair. Terribly so. But that’s why we can’t allow the proposed 40% cut to cancer funding. 2 out of 5 of us will be told one day, “I’m sorry. You have cancer.” Let’s make that not a death sentence, but a chance to live decades more." Frankly, I would have expected worse. Sarah Anderson at PJM wonders Is This the Most Disgusting Thing Alec Baldwin Has Ever Said? It's a high bar, for sure. "What it’s done to my health. I mean, if I told you what my health conditions have been since October 21st of 2021 — it’s taken 10 years off my life," he said. “It’s taken at least 10 years off my life."

PJM's Cathy Salgado thinks it's Outrageous: Boasberg Demands Trump Return 130+ Terrorist Illegals to U.S. Shipwreckedcrew, DOJ's "Sand In The Gears" of Judge Boasberg's Planned Hearing To Take Testimony On Alleged Contempt By DHS Sec. Jen O'Connell warns Don't Pop the Champagne Just Yet - Bush Admin Alum Warns JB Pritzker Over SCOTUS Nat'l Guard Decision "John Yoo, attorney and former Deputy Assistant Attorney General under the George W. Bush administration, had a possibly different interpretation of this SCOTUS decision. Yoo appeared on Fox News' America Reports and surmised that the decision may not mean what Pritzker and others think it means. "YOO: But the statute says, the President has to be unable to enforce the law with regular forces. What does regular forces mean? We don't know, the Supreme Court has never decided this question before yesterday. The Supreme Court now says, regular forces means you have to try with the regular armed forces first before you bring out the National Guard."" Nick Sortor @nicksortor, " LMAO! The Democrat lawfare against President Trump may now BACKFIRE, resulting in MARINES being sent into Chicago instead of National Guard SCOTUS said “regular forces” must be used before the Guard MARINES are “regular forces” JB Pritzker messed up."

Dept of the Treasury, FinCEN Announces Data-Driven Border Operation to Address Potential Money Laundering “At President Trump’s direction, the Treasury Department is utilizing all tools to stop terrorist cartels, drug traffickers, and human smugglers,” said Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. “This sweeping operation will help root out potential cartel-related money laundering from the U.S. financial system.” Leslie Eastman at LI notes California Races to Sign Up as Many Illegal Aliens as Possible for Medi-Cal before 2026 Deadline "The quest for new Medi-Cal participants may prove difficult…as California’s immigration rates have plunged after the enormous success of the Trump administration’s border control efforts." Quote Dan Pfeiffer @danpfeiffer. "Bari Weiss has never really worked as a journalist. She is an opinion writer who runs an opinion Substack. The idea that she has insights that supersede those of the journalists at 60 Minutes is absurd." Mary Katharine Ham @mkhammer, "You don’t need a degree in journalism to do journalism, but it’s worth noting that doing this would violate the first rule you learn in the first class you would take, and I assume many @60Minutes folks took those classes. Just the most basic stuff." Quote Maxwell Meyer @mualphaxi, "The Axios reporting makes very clear that Bari was totally correct in pulling the segment.
