Beach Report St. Patrick's Day 2026

Yesterday's anticipated doomsday level storm fizzled out here. A little rain, a lot of wind. Pretty much a standard spring style storm. I heard there were tornadoes further north though.

Today was much cooler, down in the mid 30s, but the wind was down to 10 kts or thereabouts, so it was not all that bad.

The tide was highish, but matching the expected astronomical tides. There was lots of sand and gravel,
But it wasn't too productive, only 5 teeth, the best of which was this 1 3/16 inch Snaggletooth upper.
From a couple of days ago, but I thought I would throw it up, a Chesapecten scallop shell embedded in a rock. Mostly, they just come out of the clay.
