Back From Fishing

Sunrise at Mike's Rocks on Hooper Island. We filled our limit of Striped Bass easily here, on top water lures.

We traveled south from there, with a short unproductive stop at Bloodworths Island, but the rocks at a nearby light was.

Further south, we found a few at the jetties at Smith Island, and a few Bluefish at a wreck near Tangier Island

From there we went west to Smith Island Light, where I was lucky enough (and Pete was skilled enough) to land this 44 inch Red Drum. Sorry, somewhere along the way, my phone went into super low brightness mode and I couldn't figure out how to get it out of it until I got home, so no photos of the light.

We ran into an amazing Bluefish frenzy on the way back, near the Middle Grounds, and wore ourselves out on 4-6 lbers. A great trip!
