And Chris "Abrego Garcia" Van Hollen claims credit: Van Hollen Secures Commitment from EPA Administrator...
Yesterday, in a hearing before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies, U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) questioned U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin on funding for the Chesapeake Bay Program. Administrator Zeldin noted the program’s success and committed to its continued funding for the next fiscal year. Video of the exchange is available here and a transcript follows:

I sure hope they figure out how to do it better this time. After 30 years and $25 billion, more or less, the Bay might be marginally better from the standpoint of nutrient pollution and while you soon may be allowed swim in the Anacostia River and Baltimore Harbor, there is very little to suggest that it is being translated into improvement in oysters, crabs and Striped Bass populations.
