Flotsam and Jetsam - If you got bad news, you want to kick them blues . . .

The White House/cocaine scandal continues to fester. Were the Biden's even there when the cocaine was dropped off wherever it was dropped of? At Hat Hair, KT hears KJP complain to White House reporter: "To ask that question is actually incredibly irresponsible."

"KJP said the Biden family was not at the White House on Friday. Yes, they were. They didn’t leave the White House until late Friday afternoon. There is video of Jill Biden holding the hand of Hunter’s young son, Beau, as they boarded Marine One, with Joe Biden right behind them. Hunter walked off and boarded in the rear of Marine One. I remember thinking at the time that it looked odd for Hunter to walk off from his son but, whatever. KJP is either lying or was not aware that the First Family was in the White House Friday, which would be unusual because she works for Joe Biden. So, I’m going with she is lying.

At Fox, Fox News press pool report contradicts claim Biden family wasn't at White House ahead of cocaine discovery. From Da Caller, Reports Refute KJP’s Claim That Biden Family Wasn’t At White House Ahead Of Cocaine Discovery. Well, even Ted Cruz thinks not even Hunter is stupid enough to do that. Across da pond at Da Mail, 'The cover-up is astonishing': Ted Cruz says he does NOT think cocaine found in White House belonged to Hunter Biden - but does think it was left by a senior Biden official and questions why culprit has not been identified. At Da Wire, Ted Cruz Makes Surprise Prediction About Who Brought Cocaine Into White House. So instead of the ne'er-do-well drug addicted son, with no policy making authority, it belonged to some high ranking policy making official? How comforting! At Twitchy, Sen. John Kennedy weighs in on coke found in the WH as only he can "If my record was as bad as this White House's record, I'd probably give my staff blow too."

Also at Fox, Biden family's rejection of Hunter's daughter with ex-stripper could do major psychological harm, experts say. "President Biden's estranged granddaughter could be at risk of facing self-esteem issues, fears of rejection and a sense of abandonment." On the other hand, do we really want her consorting with criminals and child molesters? Hat Hair's John Sexton notes even Maureen Dowd says Hey, Joe, you actually have seven grandkids. “The president’s cold shoulder — and heart — is counter to every message he has sent for decades, and it’s out of sync with the America he wants to continue to lead.”

Fox, Special Counsel Jack Smith spent $5.5 million in just four months of investigating Trump. "Smith spent over $2.6M on personnel compensation and benefits as well as $456,808 on 'rent, communications, and utilities'" And it's likely to go on for years. At PM, Democrat activists move to disqualify Trump from appearing on 2024 presidential ballots under 'Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause'. Who knows, they might succeed in some ultra-blue states.

Hat Hair's Jazz Shaw notes Uh oh. The Atlantic calls for Biden to step aside.  WaEx's Paul Bedard has the White House Report Card: Fewer believe Biden, more want him gone. Sarah Arnold at Town Hall is flabbergasted that Biden Has Spent Nearly 40% of His Presidency on Vacation. Why does that matter? Even when he's there, he's not "there." Fox, White House handlers restricting Biden's ability to prove he's competent: Kennedy. "Many Americans believe that he can't finish a sentence without taking a nap. I'm not saying that's fair, but that's what they believe." At Twitchy, Dem attempts to burn Trump with brag about Biden's superior 'Blizzard' knowledge backfire. Sarah Arnold again reports on how Republicans Bash Biden’s Woke EV Rule As ‘Unlawful.’

ET reports Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin Won’t Run for Senate in 2024, but will run for re-election in the House. It hardly matters, Maryland's choices for both House and Senate almost invariably suck. Nick Ballasy at JTN, GOP targets 3 vulnerable Democrats in quest to win Senate, House control too early to predict "Senate seats in Ohio, Arizona, West Virginia and Montana are rated toss-ups.

Francis Menton, a Manhattan Contrarian tells you How To Think Like A Liberal Supreme Court Justice -- Part II, if you really must.
There is nothing complicated about the thinking of a liberal Supreme Court justice. Each of these dissents follows the same rote formula: the heart of the opinion is an appeal to fear and/or guilt, completely divorced from anything about the law. The basic argument is that because of either some looming menace, or your sins, or both, you must cede infinite power to your betters to run things outside the constitutional order. The law? Somewhere in the thousands of statutes and precedents out there, or maybe just from our superior moral compass, we can find something to serve as a pretext to support our desired result. The desired result is always more power to the bureaucrats and/or liberal elites. QED.

The State Department today canceled its regular Wednesday meeting with Facebook, and all future meetings, "pending further guidance.”" Elon Musk@elonmusk "I wonder what goes on at the “regular Wednesday meeting”" Michael Shellenberger@shellenberger "If history is any guide, a lot of bullying. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.usco"

Na Hwa-rin said he had been preparing for “transphobic remarks” when he won a provincial competition in the country, according to an interview with The Korea Times. In fact, the 37-year-old cyclist welcomed them as an opportunity to highlight the biological advantage he held over women.

“I have no unresolved feelings over winning because that’s no longer what I want. My goal was to stir controversy and get my story heard by competing,” Na said.

Na said he felt sorry for female cyclists who lost to him, and offered them energy drinks as an apology. When he crossed the finish line, he felt “more relieved than triumphant.”

“I am not honored. I am not proud of myself at all. I believe other transgender athletes would feel the same way. They may not want to admit it, but they’re being selfish. There is no honor as an athlete in that.”

Tom Lifson at Am Think hears Karine Jean-Pierre say Racial preferences are an 'important constitutional right.'

At LI, Mike LaChance notes Brandeis University Quietly Removes ‘Oppressive Language’ Guide From Website After Backlash. "After Campus Reform revealed that Brandies University in Massachusetts had published an “Oppressive Language List,” asking students to avoid common terms like “ladies and gentlemen,” the school has now removed the content from its website. The list, which included phrases and terms like “policeman,” “picnic,” “people of color,” “rule of thumb,” was previously posted by the university’s Prevention, Advocacy and Resource Center (PARC)." It Seems Like There's Plenty to Go Around

Pagesix, Coco Austin defends breastfeeding her 5-year-old daughter

Coco Austin has no qualms about still breastfeeding her 5-year-old daughter.

The model shared that she won’t stop nursing Chanel until her daughter decides she doesn’t want to anymore.

“Chanel still likes my boobs,” Austin told Us Weekly Saturday. “It’s a big bonding moment for a mother and your child.”

The former “Ice Loves Coco” star, 42, acknowledged that her and husband Ice-T’s little girl also eats “steak and hamburgers” but “likes a little snack every now and then.”

As long as she knows the difference.

“Why take that away from her? … If she doesn’t want it, all right, that’s where you stop it,” she said. “But I’m not just going to say no.”

Ice-T defended Austin’s breastfeeding last year when their daughter was nearly 4 years old, saying it was a way for Chanel “to get close to her mom.” . . .

Back in Oregon, when our first child, Corwin, was born, the La Leche League had a big presence. I can easily imagine them advocating this.

Model Makes a Milk Run

Model Mara Martin turned heads at the Sports Illustrated swimsuit fashion show Sunday.

The 30-year-old hit the runway in a bikini while breastfeeding her 5-month-old daughter, Aria.

Martin, who’s from Monroe, Michigan, was one of the 16 finalists — which include a former maid and a security guard — chosen by the magazine’s open casting call at Miami Swim Week.

Before the show, Martin uploaded an Instagram with her adorable smiling tot.

“The face you make when your mom makes it to the final 16 of the @si_swimsuit Swim Search,” she writes in the caption. “Im so so so thankful for the entire team at Sports Illustrated for picking me.”
Somehow, she has gained a bit of weight recently and has serious "Mom bod". Having a baby will do that to a woman.

Wombat-socho has "Rule 5 Sunday: Alexa Davalos" working, but the FMJRA post is conspicuously absent at The Other McCain.
