The Maryland Department of Nature Resources Fisheries said that two bow fishermen shot a fish that is normally found in Texas and the Gulf States.
According to the Maryland DNR Fisheries Facebook post, the bow fisherman were on the Bush River when they shot an alligator gar.
Officials said that alligator gar are native to Texas and the southern Gulf States and can grow as large as 10 feet long and weigh 350 pounds.
It's just a baby!
The Wombat has Rule 5 Sunday: Doughnut Dolly up on time and under budget.

Please trust the "experts" at your own peril. Those things will grow a hell of a lot more than 10" long. I have personally seen many in Texas that were longer than the 16" boat we were fishing from and ill bet dollars to donuts they were much heavier than 350LBS.
