Great weather today, with temperatures in the lower 70s, a light north wind, and a few puffy white clouds in an otherwise blue sky. I can't believe this is still August.
A pretty good day for fossicking, with this 1 5/8 inch extinct White Shark (Carcharodon hastalis) tooth being the standout by far.
A bit of a downer, a dead Osprey on the beach. The victim of hunger, or foul (fowl) play, an eagle attack? I didn't probe to find out. The last time I reported a dead Osprey to DNR, they told me they don't check them, like they would with an eagle.
