Now, somehow that gene on the Y-chromosome that enables most men to care about sports, and their local team, didn't get passed on to me. I arrived in the D.C. in the Jack Kent Cooke/Joe Gibbs era when the Redskins were a national powerhouse, and survived this far into the Dan Snyder/parade or failed coaches (including Joe Gibbs) era without falling into a depression.
