Back From Fishin'/Beach Report 3/12/25

Fishing was a total bust. We got to the desired location by sunrise, but the fish didn't. We looked around at all the places Pete has caught fish in the past week, and some he didn't, and didn't get a bite. Pete called it early, and accepted a little gas money. We are tentatively scheduled to try again soon, weather permitting.
So after I got home and grabbed lunch, Georgia and I set off for the beach. The wind had come up a bit since the early morning, but was not horrible.
The waves left a pretty decent shell/gravel line on a lot of the beach, so even though we didn't get past the rocks at Matoaka, thanks to a rising tide, we did OK for finding fossils:
16 shark's teeth, including this 1 3/16 inch White Shark tooth, with an interesting color pattern, a sting ray dermal scute, and a drum tooth.
