and Playmate:
Meet Coed Alysson Holt, a working model based in Los Angeles. She’s broad-featured, with sea-green eyes and pale blonde hair – all evident of her Norwegian and Danish heritage. “I have a classic figure,” she boasts. “Rembrandt would have loved to sketch me.” A former student of the University of Arizona, where she majored in merchandising, retail and consumer science, Alysson recently moved to Los Angeles, where she’s working full time as a model. “I grew up in Seattle, near Woodland Park,” she says. “From a young age, I nurtured an interest in photography. I took pictures of all my friends to decorate my locker and binder.
That’s sort of what led me to start a modeling career after college – at first it was just for fun, but I moved to Los Angeles, and I ended up modeling full time.” She loves her new life in LA, but she misses her family and friends in Seattle. “The summers are great,” she says. “They make up for the weather the rest of the year. There’s nothing like a sunset on the beach on Whidbey Island.” Alysson has modeling experience – she’s been featured in FHM Slovenia, Playboy Netherlands and American Curves magazines, she’s a promotional model for Girlfriends Bikinis, and she was recently cast in a sketch on Funny or Die. “Playboy is the definition of beauty and glamour,” she says. “Ever since I found my dad’s stash of Playboys in the early eighties, I’ve wanted to be a part of it. There’s no time like the present – I’m young and beautiful, and that won’t last forever.”
