I have that fear, too, but then, I didn't think he would win in 2016. Predictions are hard, especially about the future. 

From Althouse, Gavin Newsom is enjoying Nikki Haley and wishes her luck. "Newsom's speech is layered with sincerity and sarcasm that feels really funny and slimy to me (and I like when Jake Tapper jumps in to say that polls suggest Nikki would "clean Biden's clock")" He's slimy all right. Anyway, I'd like to do something rare, and go back to Stacy McCain.

Nikki Haley is not campaigning for the Republican nomination in any meaningful sense. What she is doing is campaigning for Joe Biden’s reelection. Nikki Haley is a puppet, controlled by the left-wing billionaires who have funded her campaign, and boosted by unlimited free publicity from liberal media outlets. No honest person can say otherwise.

I'm not quite that cynical (close, maybe). I think she's continuing the race in the faint hope that Trump somehow gets sick, dies, or is jailed, and really can't continue. She doesn't represent Democrats, but she does represent the old GOPe; internationalist, and pro-open borders. She will say what she needs to say to get the job, but then she would happily betray the majority of GOP voters wishes.

There are eerie commonalities in all these five court cases involving plaintiff E. Jean Carroll, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, federal special counsel Jack Smith, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

One, they are either unapologetically left-wing or associated with liberal causes. They filed their legal writs in big-city, left-wing America -- Atlanta, New York, Washington -- where liberal judges and jury pools predominate in a manner not characteristic of the country at large.

Two, they are overtly political. Bragg, James, and Willis have either campaigned for office or raised campaign funds by promising to get or even destroy Trump.

Three, there would not be any of these cases had Trump not run for the presidency or not been a conservative.
