One day you wash up on the beach, wet and naked. Another day you wash back out. In between, the scenery changes constantly.

It's As Cold As A . . .
Our first real taste of winter arrived last night, as the temperatures went below freezing and kept on going, combined with 20-30 kt NNW winds. It was 3 F when we got up at 6 AM, it's 24 F now, and we expect a low of around 17 F around daybreak tomorrow. All of which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a Siberian Husky who insists on a long walk around 2:30 PM. I'm finally getting thawed out.
Of course, others have it worse. The current outbreak of the "Polar Vortex" has the temperature in Bismarck ND at around -3 F, while Fargo is at relatively balmy 4 F, expected to fall to -21 on Sunday. But you expect that in North Dakota.
Predictably, the New York Times blames global warming.
Wombat-socho has "Rule 5 Sunday: The Week Before Christmas" and ready for your viewing pleasure at The Other McCain.
