We only found 10 teeth, and nothing notable. The tide was dead high, and we didn't wade around the rocks because . . .
Masses of Sea Nettles were washing up. After several days where they were rare to non-existent, the wind and tides must have conspired to send them to commit hara-kiri on the beach like lemmings off a cliff. I've seen them in masses but never this thick!
I walked in the water by the edge, and it felt pretty gooey. However, I never got stung. Their stinging tentacles must have been beaten off in the surf. It's getting late in the year for the nettles, and this will certainly put a significant dent in their population.
