Flotsam and Jetsam - FBI Involvment in J6 Detailed, Biden Mass Pardons

Two stories stand out among the rest today. First, the DOJ's IG released a report claiming that while the FBI had dozens of Confidential Human Sources (CHS) inside the capital riot, including several who entered the Capitol building, they had no actual undercover FBI agents involved, and that none of the CHSs were prosecuted for the trespass etc. Second, Joe Biden issued a mass pardon, but not the one many on his side long for.

The Redoubtable Julie Kelly@julie_kelly2, "BREAKING: DOJ IG claims 26 FBI informants were in DC on Jan 6. (Guarantee this is not accurate) At least 17 committed offenses for which other J6er have been federally charges. Three of the CHS were given authorization to go, and at least one was actually paid. No CHS was charged." Mary Chastain at LI, DOJ IG: Dozens of FBI Confidential Sources at Capitol on January 6, "These CHSs gathered information before January 6th and guess what. The FBI didn’t do much. I bet you know what I want to ask the FBI." At the Wombat's In The Mailbox: 12.12.24 (Afternoon Edition), Twitchy, IG Report Lists How Many 'Confidential Human Sources' FBI Had at the Capitol on J6 (BS Called). Ace, IG Report on January 6th Admits That Fed Agents Entered the Capitol, But Denies That the FBI Urged Them to Commit Illegal Acts or Encourage Others to Commit Illegal Act, "Another whitewash from our deplorable and corrupt government." Sundance at CTH, Inspect General Outlines Extensive Use of FBI Confidential Human Sources on January 6, 2021. At Althouse, "The report... includes details that will almost certainly fuel the 'fedsurrection' narrative that has been growing on the right and amongst Donald Trump supporters..." "... The false notion that the federal government was responsible for instigating the attack. While the review found 'no evidence in the materials we reviewed or the testimony we received showing or suggesting that the FBI had undercover employees in the various protest crowds, or at the Capitol, on January 6,' the inspector general's office said that there were 26 confidential human sources in Washington on Jan. 6." From "FBI missed 'basic step' when gathering intel in the lead-up to Jan. 6, DOJ watchdog finds/Investigators found no evidence of undercover FBI employees at the Capitol, but the presence of FBI informants could further fuel right-wing 'fedsurrection' conspiracy theories" (NBC News). JD Vance@JDVance, "For those keeping score at home, this was labeled a dangerous conspiracy theory months ago." Vivek Ramaswamy @VivekGRamaswamy "If you uttered the facts in this IG report last year, you were labeled a “conspiracy theorist.” It’s also notable that the IG report came out literally the day after Christopher Wray resigned." Vicky Taft at PJM, The FBI Paid People to Go to the J6 Riot. DC_Draino @DC_Draino, "So the FBI will raid Trump’s house and indict him twice But a report on the FBI’s involvement in J6 was delayed until after the election so that it “didn’t cause any election interference”? This is why Kash Patel is needed for a deep clean of the corrupt FBI" Quote, Jack Poso @JackPosobiec, "How convenient the IG Report confirming 26 FBI assets at Jan 6 comes out one month *after* the election How convenient, indeed." While this may be true of the FBI (I'm sure they're still hiding as much as they can), there were certainly other agencies involved, and we aren't sure of their level of engagement either. Capt. The Biden/Harris administration announce the pardons or commutation of a large mass of people yesterday, mostly of criminal cases where the sentences were longer than what normally be given today. Sundance, Biden Delivers 1,500 Pardons During First Wave of Executive Clemency Announcements  At Da Signal, Biden Nullifies Crimes in Biggest Day of Clemency to Date, Nick Sortor@nicksortor, WTF?! Joe Biden just pardoned multiple Chinese spies and an individual convicted of possessing child p*rnography WHY? 39 MORE DAYS UNTIL THIS CRAP IS OVER. Oilfield Rando @Oilfield_Rando, "We all know Biden had nothing to do with working up the pardon list. The question is: who did?" For the most part, I don't object to this. While I'm sure some are more worthy than others, I don't propose to nitpick. This is not the mass pardon of as yet unknown crimes committed by federal bureaucrats and legislators in their war against Donald Trump, that some desperately seek. Stephen Kruiser at PJM, Just Sayin' — I Never Asked to Be Pardoned for Crimes I Haven't Committed " The people being mentioned as being in need of "Get Out of Jail Free" cards in the next month haven't been publicly lobbying for themselves, but it's an almost certain bet that they're jumping up and down screaming, "Me next!" behind the scenes. As Scott wrote last week, Adam Schiff, Liz "I'm Just Like Lincoln" Cheney, and alleged physician Anthony Fauci headline the group of people most in need of an assist from President LOLEightyonemillion. Schiff and Cheney are sweating bullets because they were members of the J6 House Soviet Select Committee on Daddy Issues, a pathetic un-American charade that only succeeded in wasting the taxpayers' money. Anthony Fauci is on the list for being Pol Pot, M.D. during the pandemic, of course. Four years later, we're still waiting to see if he told the truth about anything other than the spelling of his name in 2020." At PJM, Stephen Kruiser thinks Christoper Wray Is Busy Googling 'No Extradition Treaty With United States' and Matt Margolis says Christopher Wray Is Preparing to Sabotage Trump and Patel, "Reports suggest Wray is actively promoting loyalists within the bureau, embedding establishment figures even deeper into the FBI. Robert Sterling@RobertMSterling. "Brian Thompson went from Jewell, Iowa (population 1,200) to leading 140,000 employees and overseeing $280B of revenue at one of the world’s most important companies. His mom worked as a beautician, his dad at a grain elevator—they were probably really proud when he graduated valedictorian of his 50-person high school class. He played basketball and the trombone, got elected homecoming king, and worked in soybean fields and meat processing plants during summers. While studying at the University of Iowa, he met the woman who would become his wife, with whom he would have two kids. By all accounts, he was smart, hard-working, funny, and a thoroughly decent man.
