Escambia County K9 Streeter was treated at the hospital and is recovering Tuesday after sustaining minor injuries in his jump from a bridge Monday evening.
Streeter jumped from the Highway 90 bridge at Scenic Highway in pursuit of shooting suspects who also jumped off the bridge. He landed in water following the 30-40 foot fall and was recovered by deputies.
"He stayed overnight at Davis Animal Hospital Emergency Center, and was released this morning after his evaluation at Westside Animal Hospital," the sheriff's office said in a post Tuesday morning. "He is in good spirits, and will be on light 'desk duty' until the end of the week....oh and of course he is enjoying those extra treats
