It's light by any standards, even with my including a few things that only tangential to the election at best. This is a good thing. On the other hand, once people get back to work after Labor Day, I'm sure we'll get back to the heavy flow.
At that alt-right media site Rumble, Rep. Ramthun (R-Wis) tries to steer us through the Wisconsin audit mess, Ramthun Report Episode 28: Why are there 3 audits in Wisconsin? Which one is the real thing?.
Brnovich has relentlessly campaigned as the “America First” candidate who has been the most supportive of former President Donald Trump. But there are some red flags with Brnovich, especially on the topic of fighting for election integrity. On the day after the 2020 election, after multiple swing states stopped counting votes and resumed in the early morning with sudden leads for Joe Biden, many were rightfully skeptical about what was taking place.
Brnovich was not among those skeptics. Brnovich was quick to bolster corporate media claims that nothing could possibly have gone awry with the election. In an interview with CBS News, he dismissed any questions about the Arizona election and the quick call for Biden as nothing more than “conspiracy theories” and scolded those who raised such concerns by saying it “doesn’t do any of us any good.”
Audits? Who needs 'em? At LI, Mike LeChance reports that the Media is Setting the Table to Question Outcome of California Recall if Larry Elder Wins, “A group of election security experts on Thursday called for a rigorous audit of the upcoming recall election for California’s governor after copies of systems used to run elections across the country were released publicly.”
At Fox, GOP’s Lauren Boebert placed in Democrat’s district in Colorado election-map proposal: reports "The state’s nonpartisan redistricting commission’s redrawing of congressional districts was prompted by the release of 2020 U.S. Census data" There's literally zero chance this was a "nonpartisan" decision. She can still run there, though.
Alexandria Brown notices that the media are expressing concern that Trump followers are becoming more active in GOP politics.
At WaEx, GOP threats to hurt companies complying with Jan. 6 committee have no teeth, lawyers say. This probably true on a strictly legal basis, but when legislators warn you not to do something, or they'll get you, I would watch my back. You mean people who want a party to move in a particular direction work within the mechanisms of the party to do so?
