The Thaw

Temperatures rocketed up into the low 40s today, with partly cloudy skies, so when Skye began lobbying for her walk, we put on our boots and decided to try the beach.
Most of the snow is gone from the beach, but there is still a pile of floating, and stranded ice,  much of it covered by wind blown sand

Not much action on the fossil front. Zero teeth, but I did find this ray dermal scute. They're not as common as teeth, so I'll call that a victory. We also found a lump of coal, a crab claw, some sea glass
It still looks pretty Arctic.
