The outer bands of Hurricane turned Tropical Storm Hermine have just reached our area, while the center of the storm are down near the outer banks. Our new rain gauge just recorded its first 0.01 inches of rain, and winds at the Cove Point weather station are 15 gusting to 20 knots and rising. The storm is expected to basically "stall out" off the Atlantic coast, and be with us a couple of days, giving the chance of considerable rain, wind, and high tides.
More updates later.
