Rule 5 Saturday - The Fish Chick - Brooke Thomas

Something a little different for Rule 5 Saturday this week. Not a model, not an actress, but a professional fisher, uh, woman; a girl not afraid to kiss a fish. She showed up in my Facebook feed a few months back, thanks to numerous friends who also fish. Brooke Thomas is a native Floridian, who is turning her lifetime passion for fishing into a career, advertising for Huk fishing gear, Nomad Outdoor and Native Eyewear.

Looking good and catching fish, what a tough job! I have trouble with the first part.

 Brooke started her fishing career at a very young age with her grandparents.

“They used to take me fishing on a few local lakes here in Florida…and also Costa Rica where they had a ranch” she said. “That’s where my love of the water began.”

From that point on, Brooke’s career began to take off. She’s been featured in Big Bass Monthly, GAFF Magazine, and multiple fishing and bowfishing calendars.

I notice a distinct lack of Striped Bass in her photos. I'd be happy to show her some places around here to catch them.
