Another cooler than average August day in Southern Maryland, partly cloudy and with a slight breeze. There's a lot of leaf and wood debris in the surf and washing up for some reason. It's not harmful, but a little off putting if you want to wade or swim.
A good day to walk the dog.
This is only the fourth Sea Nettle we've seen this year, all in the last week. They are not missed.
We sent a Northern Water Snake slithering off. Many people confuse them with Copperheads or Water Moccasins, and fear them. While not having a poisonous bite, they can be aggressive if confronted.
