After last night's thunderstorm, the morning was cool and windy. When we arrived at the beach at about 9:30, the last clouds were just getting ready to blow away.
It being the first day of rockfish (Striped Bass) season, there was a lot of boat traffic, even though it wasn't very pleasant out on the bay. As we've seen, a boat off Point Lookout capsized and two fisherman died, while four were rescued.
By the time we got back from Calvert Beach, the sky had cleared and things were looking much nicer.
