One of the eagles was up in his/her usual spots. This turned out tobe "Flying Eagle", as it took to the air just before I got underneath.
Some swans are still here, although I didn't see as many, so maybe they've started to depart.
The Coltsfoot has officially gone into bloom. It's kind a pretty plant, at this point, yellow aster like flowers on a tender looking stem. Not much in the way of leaves. It's all over the base of the cliffs, in the loose soil that's just fallen off the cliff face.
A Mockingbird up singing at the top of the cliff.
It was a pretty decent day for fossils, together we found 40 shark's teeth, three crab claws, a drum's tooth, and a large Tilly bone. This was the best tooth, a large Snaggletooth (Hemipristus). If this reconstruction of a Snaggletooth jaw is correct, this would be an upper, near the front.
