A Garden Visitor

A Black Rat Snake, aka Black Snake, aka Eastern Rat Snake (Pantherophis alleghaniensis). It slithered off into the shrubbery when it caught on that we were watching. Good in the garden for eating mice, voles etc. Nonpoisonous, but will bite if bothered.

Yeah, we did go to the beach today, but it rough, the tide was high, and we came away with a total of 3 teeth, a Tilly Bone and a crab claw.
