Beach Report 7/24/20

Are we there yet?
A set of thunderstorms last night dropped 0.3 inches of rain, and the temperature in to the high 70s to low 80s, without dropping the humidity much. Also, persistent cloud cover kept the sun off. So it was a much more pleasant walk than the last couple of days.
A Common Buckeye in the sand dunes.
Who knows? But it's not likely to be civilian

Some beach treasures. Left to right, a broken Snaggletooth shark tooth, a shark vertebrae, and two Ecphoras.

  1. The Blackhawk helicopter was probably Navy or Marine given the paint job, not Coast Guard, those would be Orange and White.

  2. In this neighborhood that's a good bet. Patuxent River Naval Air Station is just down the Bay a short way as the helicopter flies.
