Russiagate Con Carne

I had all the best intentions to get to the "remainder" of yesterday's Russiagate coverage, the Biden/Ukraine/Giuliani and the impeachment follies, after my three hour band band practice yesterday afternoon.

As I was settling in to tackle it, I got a call from Trevor who wanted "some help" butchering a deer, which was his way of saying he wanted to give me some deer meat. It seems he has contacts with a local beef  farmer who has a crop damage permit, the right to kill excessive deer that come on their property. They shoot so many, they actually have problems of getting rid of them, and Trevor takes several every year and distributes the meat to friends, mostly needy (unlike us).

When we arrived at the farm, the farmer offered us not one, but two does he had in the meat locker. It took us a while to disassemble them to the point that we could get them into coolers and bring them home, and by that time, it was dark. 

I got most of half a deer, a front and rear haunch, a set of ribs, and a piece of spine with lots of meat, which is now in the crock pot to be used as chili. By time Georgia and I cleaned, finished butchering and putting away to meat, it was late, and I was tired, and just couldn't face more of that stuff.

Which is a long introduction/apology for the fact that Russiagate coverage backed up big time, and I'm not going to do much but give you raw links. Which is OK, since not much happened (except for the Democrats deciding to attempt to impeach Trump on two charges; first, abuse of power, based on the Ukraine non-events, and second, obstruction of Congress, for not swiftly answering their subpoenas). Lot's of talk about the IG report, and Bill Barr and John Durham's rejection of IG Horowitz's rejection of the notion that bias against Trump had any role in the Russiagate investigation
