More Random Russiagate

Even Bernie Sanders: It’s “Outrageous” That Certain People Would Accuse Tulsi Gabbard Of Being A Foreign Asset, says the Russian Soviet asset, by way of Russian asset Allah Pundit at Hot Air. At Da Fed, Russian asset Erielle Davidson
While there is no evidence that Tulsi is a “Russian asset,” we also shouldn’t pretend that she hasn’t been favored by Russian news outlets for her more isolationist perspective and softened approach on murderous Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad, with whom she met in 2017 on an alleged “fact finding mission” and has defended in the past. As reported by NBC News back in January, Tulsi appeared on three major Russian news site about twice as much as the two then-most popular Democratic candidates, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders.

But again, does this mean that Tulsi is somehow a prop of the Russians? Of course not.

Even the NYT admits there's a Deep State, but insist that it's a good thing. Heh

Ed at Hot Air, NBC: Barr Approved Expanded Scope Of Durham Probe — To Include Clapper And Brennan
Remember, however, that a criminal probe — if that is in fact what Durham is conducting — is not an indictment … at least not yet. One enduring quality of this scandal is that it hasn’t paid off in either direction so far. It found no evidence of collusion by Donald Trump and his team, and up to now hasn’t dug up evidence of a “deep state” plot either, although of course both Durham and Horowitz have yet to publicize their conclusions. Comey and Andrew McCabe got fired, Peter Strzok got bounced too, and the latter two are suing over their terminations.

Still, the interest in Clapper and Brennan seems pretty noteworthy. Durham will need to have his ducks in a row before deposing both men, who have been pretty slippery in public comments on a wide range of issues. Both Democrats and Republicans in the Senate are still angry over Clapper’s flat-out lies in testimony about domestic surveillance, which cost Clapper absolutely nothing in that instance. If either of the two men think Durham will let them get away with that in their “interviews,” however, maybe they’d better lawyer up too.

Federal prosecutors cannot play a clip from “The Godfather, Part II” in court during the trial of political consultant Roger Stone, a judge ruled Monday.

U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who is overseeing the case against the consultant, agreed with his attorneys that the clip could unfairly prejudice jurors.

“The government will not be permitted to introduce the clip itself in its case in chief because the prejudicial effect of the videotape, which includes a number of extraneous matters, outweighs its probative value,” Jackson, an Obama appointee, ruled Monday.

However, she said prosecutors are free to use a transcript of the scene.

The indictment against Stone charges that he pressured an associate to “do a Frank Pentangeli” in his testimony. Pentangeli, played in the 1974 film by Michael V. Gazzo, is a lieutenant in the Corleone mafia family who recants incriminating Senate testimony after the family arranges for his brother to sit in the audience for the hearing.
