Well, It Never Bothered the Grateful Dead Much Either

Fans wondered if Bobby would ever learn the words to Truckin'. But we know their excuse. Billie Eilish Forgot Her Own Lyrics at Coachella and Was Completely Unfazed
Coachella has already had some weird flubs this year, including Kacey Musgrave's audience not getting how call and response works. But that one was crowd-related. Today's best slip up so far comes from Billie Eilish, the first person born after the year 2000 to hold number one on the Billboard 100 and the absolute master of deadpan, disaffected coolness.

During her performance of the song "all good girls go to hell," Eilish lost track of where she was in the song and exactly what lyrics came next. A more self-conscious singer might fake her way through it, maybe vamp or try to work the crowd until she knew where she was supposed to be, words-wise. Instead, Eilish audibly mumbles, doing the kind of vowel-matching you do when you know the gust of a song but not exactly the words. Rather than play it off, she looks over her shoulder and loudly asks, "What the fuck are the words though?"

It begs the question: Does it count as a screw up if it's 100 percent on brand?

Which begs the question who is Billie Eilish? I've never heard of her before, which doesn't mean much. I don't listen to popular music on the radio often.
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell  (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. In 2016, she released her debut single, "Ocean Eyes", which subsequently went viral. Her debut EP Don't Smile at Me was released in August of the next year. Following the EP's commercial success, Apple Music named Eilish as its newest Up Next artist in September 2017. Her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, was released March 29, 2019. Through the RIAA, Eilish has seven gold and two platinum singles. Eilish and her musician brother Finneas collaborate on her music.
