Labor Day 2013 at the Beach

It was mostly overcast this morning as we left for the beach.  It's warm, about 80 F, and the humidity is only moderate.  The wind was negligible, and what there is is from the west.
Some families seem to have set up residence on the beach for they.
A woman rescues a fishing rod from the Bay.  When I talked to her, she said a big fish (likely a cow nosed ray) ran all the line off it,  pulled it out of the holder on the beach, and into the Bay.  Apparently it got stuck on the sand bar and the line broke.  She's lucky to have found it.  A little fresh water, and the rod and reel will be as good as new.

As we walked the clouds were breaking up.
Another fisher woman.

Good form on that cast.
But the Ospreys seemed to be catching more than the people.  And I didn't see their tax collectors today (the Bald Eagles).
I found this Red Admiral in one of those bushes I need to identify.  Whatever it is, it smells sweet and attracts a lot of pollinators of various kinds.
