Earthquake Cluster Strikes Northern California

A large cluster of earthquakes (as many as 44 over a magnitude 2.5), with one event of magnitude 5.7 has occurred in a small area of Northern California near Greenville, on the shores of Lake Almanore in the last day.  The area is geologically very active, with Mt. Lassen about 30 km to the northeast, Mt. Shasta not much farther, and many fault zones.  The quake was apparently felt as far away as Chico and Sacramento, although Georgia's sister was unaware of it in McKinleyville, California.






 This could be the start of something big, or a big nothing...
