Superbowl Prediction

Harbaugh's team, by one.

Seriously, a lot of people ask me who I'm going to root for.

As far a loyalties go, I have issues.  Right now, we live in the Ravens extended backyard, and when the Redskins are losing (as has often been the case recently, as in the last 20 years or so) it's easy to fall into rooting for the Ravens.  Besides, my Mom is from Baltimore, although she left long before the Ravens replace the hole left by the Browns.

On the other hand, I grew up on the West Coast, and in particular, spent a few years in Northern California, a quick 276 mile hop, skip and a jump to San Francisco (or as we called it, an afternoon), and I married a girl from Eureka.  San Francisco was by far the closest team, so I can claim loyalty to the 49ers from that.

I guess there's only one way to settle it.  Who has the prettiest cheerleaders?

OK, that settles it; I'm rooting for the cheerleaders.

My thanks, and apologies,  to Wombat-Socho at The Other McCain for including this in the weekly Rule 5 roundup "Who Gives a F*** About A G*ddamn Grammy" despite the fact that I sent it to the wrong mailbox.
