Dinner and a Show

I've gotten a couple of days behind in some of my postings, but I'll try to get caught up before we get on the plane and the IPad becomes useless again.

Two nights ago, which would make it Friday, we set off one evening for a special dinner at a restaurant down by the Tiber River. Nicolette wouldn't tell us much about it until we got there. The usual insane ride through the streets of Rome.

When we arrived it was explained to us that this was a dinner theater where dinner was accompanied by opera singing.

Four singer performed songs from several operas, including La Traviata and The Barber of Seville. For the latter, they dragged out audience members for participation, including the poor guy who got a quick shave and hair cut with a dull knife:

The blonde soprano also went around the room "seducing" men in one number. They were all trained opera singers and could project their voices to fill the large hall.

The dinner? Good, but not great; too institutional, and too many too feed In So short a time. However, they made up for it with bottomless wine bottles, and a great Tiramisu.
