Today's Bay News - No News

No news at all, but lots of old issues being rehashed.

As expected, many publications around the Bay picked up in the ASMFC's decision to cut back the Menhaden harvest:

Fisheries regulators OK menhaden limits - Associated Press
Throwing a threatened Pilgrim-era fish a line - USAToday
Menhaden harvest limit sharply cut by fisheries commission - Washington Post

Editorial: Great Day for Menhaden - Sacramento (Ca.) Bee
Blog: Fisheries commission votes to curb menhaden catch by 37 percent - Baltimore (Md.) Sun
Blog: A new day for menhaden management - Fly Rod and Reel Online

A few got finally opened their email and found the press release about heavy rains killing oysters in the upper bay:

Heavy spring rains killed oysters in upper Chesapeake, DNR's fall survey finds - Associated Press
Scientists: Rain cause of oyster deaths - Annapolis (Md.) Capital
Spring rains killed oysters in upper Chesapeake - ABC (Md.) TV

And somebody was late to the flush tax increase:

And a magazine picked up on the dead zone decline fairly quickly:

So if it's not news, can we call it "olds"?
