Breezy and Nice at the Beach 10/15/11

After a rather dismal weather week, Saturday dawned clear, cool and breezy.  From the beach it's obvious that fall is coming; the beach grass is all browned out, and some of the trees are starting to turn.  You can see the moon over the trees, only a few days from the Hunter's Moon.
Even though the day was breezy (and got breezier yet as we walked, the bay was flat near us.  The wind was solid west at 15 knots and rising, but the cliffs protect a stretch of water close to shore, and keep it calm.

That is an Osprey out of the water past Georgia; they're still here.  We saw one eagle, but he shot past before I could ready the camera.
A decent Snaggletooth shark tooth in it's native habitat.  While I was taking the picture, Joel was plotting to snatch it.
A mother an daughter sitting on the beach taking pictures together.  They liked the dogs, and took a number of pictures of them.

The dogs liked their attention as well.

The next door neighbors were down on the beach this morning too.  Clint was out kayak fishing with a cousin, apparently catching a few Spot.

Theresa and the kids were beach combing, and walking their Rat Terrier, Abby.  Yes, Rat Terrier is a legitimate dog breed.  Abby has an uncertain relationship with big dogs like Skye and Red.   But eventually she calmed down, and everything was OK.  This is just after Georgia's hat blew off and nearly went in the Bay.  Sadly, mine did make into the Bay...

Can you guess what this pattern is, and what it's on?
I'm pretty sure that's the track a snail or slug made as it grazed the mildew off Joel's van.  A few more months, and it might be clean again.
