It's a Nice Day for a Beach Wedding

It's a beautiful day to be down at the beach.  80's light breeze, and lower humidity after yesterday afternoon's thunderstorm.  Somebody arranged to have a wedding on the beach today, so they really lucked out on the weather.  When we arrived at the beach they were just beginning to set up.
Georgia getting control of Skye so that she can get past...
The Pit Bull in the water.  Actually a very friendly dog, it probably wouldn't have been good for Skye to run out and test it's temperament. Siberian Huskies have a really bad reputation for running away when they get off the leash.  With reward training and Joel's advice we had Skye sticking pretty close to us within a few months.  However, she used to give us a scare once in a while.  Now that she's older, not so much.
I found this Staghorn Sumac bush in bloom and just alive with butterflies.  Most of them were Zebra Swallowtails, although there was at least one Eastern Yellow Swallowtail, and a few other smaller butterflies.

A bit of video showing the multiple butterflies flitting around this bush.

A Zebra Swallowtail that stopped to rest briefly on the beach.
Back at the jetty, the wedding party is starting to assemble, with us ordinary beach goes as spectators.

The bride and her father prepare for their grand entrance.
