Beach Report, Sunday, March 13, 2011

It was beautiful at the beach this morning. 50s and warming, and no wind to speak of.  Time to get a new volleyball net.  Pretty soon there will be plenty of demand for it.

Skye seems to be doing very well with the arthritis meds.  We start DuraMax the night before, and keep it up all weekend.  She's still a little sore in the evening, but I'm sure she thinks it's worth it.

We met Charlie and Cheyenne down at the beach.  The dogs did a little playing together, but Cheyenne can run rings around Sky.  Here Cheyenne is bobbing for a sinking stick.  IIRC, she gave up and found a new one on dry land.
Fossil hunting was OK, but not great.  We got around 20 teeth, none of the them good enough for the window sill.  Here is a small, relatively intact Ecphora, Maryland's State Fossil (why not a Megalodon tooth?).  We've never found one that is completely intact, usually the tip is missing.
